Don’t think we have that luxury with 4 FRPs + X number of SRPs + relevant veterans onboarding the next two years. Anyone with an expiring or non-guaranteed deal is on the chopping block. Mamu is fun, but that can’t priority over player development.

I agree, plus I think there is the “saving face” factor which complicates any ATL deal. They’re unlikely to come off getting their picks back in a dealing specific to the Spurs. This can’t be overlooked. There are also other factors specific to the CLE situation that make them a more motivated...

Sure, but that doesn’t change the calculus on Spurs end of what they pay. Whether CLE values Keldon or not is not the point. It’s that from Spurs end the cost is Keldon + 4 more or less.
