"Call Your Ideal Off-Season"? My ideal is: 1) Draft Sarr, by whatever trade is necessary 2) Draft Castle, by whatever trade is necessary 3) Trade Vassell, especially if it helps conserve future draft assets. Team BBIQ will immediately improve. Addition by subtraction. I don't foresee the...

imo this is the important part. While many of the deals we discuss here might be good or bad in a vacuum, teams have idiosyncrasies like the Hawks do in your list. That makes teams do strange, even stupid, things sometimes. The Hawks should be the team that the Spurs are having the most...

Here is Dillingham vs. Garland vs. Monk in college. Just acknowledging these don't tell the whole story. Dillingham is more like Garland in that he's a playmaker. Monk is more of a straight up shooting guard. Garland only played six games in college against Winthrop, Liberty, Alcorn State,...

I simply don't understand people tripping over themselves wanting to acquire Darius Garland or Malik Monk when Dillingham was arguably or very clearly better than them in college and they all have the same size problem. They'd do anything to get those players but using a single pick in a...

Tatum's problem is his shot selection. Someone needs to get Kobe out of his head. Whenever he gets the ball with not a lot of time left on the clock, it's pretty much guaranteed he'll make the worst possible decision. Other than that, his finishing around the rim is still subpar. Was always...

We're talking about 10lbs here, not 50. Or something like 3 inches longer wingspan that's noticable. If Dillingham had similar college stats to either of those two, he'd be a lock for #1 pick. Maybe #2. They were obviously higher rated prospects, but it's not like he's got nothing to offer...

No. Evaluating was last season. Rebuilding begins in earnest this season. Before 2023-24 began, PATFO publicly stated, "We want to see what we've got." And what they've got is a lot of veteran garbage. Last season was the moment for Vassell to finally turn the corner, and he proved to be an...

Yes, definitely agree. This was kind of my point when I was saying that getting a top one or two pick on this draft wasn't really great, that you'd be stuck picking and paying for a role player. Atlanta and Washington get the advantage of who they want, but it's not really worth it in this draft. A...

You never know. Spurs built their last era with the 28th and 57th picks You can find plenty of allstar who were not lottery picks and even more solid players You need a lot of (scouting) work and a lot of luck

I was talking on RealGM, and an idea that came from that was: NOP: Sexton and Zach Collins Spurs: Clarkson Jazz: McCollum Trading Collins for a sixth man seems like a win, and it would make using a draft pick on a center or otherwise spending real money on one a viable idea. Like if they...

keying in one stat is silly. His defense, vision, rebounding has been great. Game 3, 12 assists. Game 4 31, 6, &, 6. Game 1 & 2 missed a lot of bunnies.

what's hurting Dilly is not as much him not being able to work out than others actually doing so and intiriguing/seducing GMs and their brothers. As far as defense is concerned, I do'nt really believe in the "mental" part of it you'd just have to make a player buy into for players like...

I really haven't done much due diligence on any of the prospective lottery picks but from the little I’ve seen of Dilli impresses me as a pure scorer. AI came in the league and played at similar measurements. Definitely some similarities in their games.

If they don’t take him with 4, they will def need to trade up. But I don’t buy anyone in the lotto desperate to trade up to 1 or 2. That’s more hopefully dreaming by ATL and WAS.

Well, it's a spicy hot take, so she's going out on a limb. That said, I do think Castle is the target for the Spurs rather than Risacher. I absolutely would not trade up to get Risacher. Castle is the real get here, especially in this draft. The question is how much I'd give up to get him when I'm...

Yeah, man. Bub Carrington is a theoretical player. Branham could have been shooting the same shots and you would have been getting a chubby over him, too. I know they haven't worked in any good way, but I still think that Malaki and Blake were good prospects to bet on in terms of upside and creation at that point in the draft. Malaki was OK but young, Blake was kind of objectively not good but you could see that he generated rim pressure at an...
