I watched "Friends" a lot in syndication when the show was in its last few seasons and thought it was hilarious. I've caught a few episodes since then, however, and don't know what the hell I saw in it.

Friends is funny in small doses. I couldn't imagine sitting down and watching an entire season in one shot. I'd probably throw-up.

I'm one of the few people I've ever met that found Friends pretty damn funny (not every episode though), but hated Seinfeld, which I found absurdly predictable and rarely funny.

The Simpsons and South Park are both, by far, more hilarious than either of the aforementioned. Heck, I'd take Family Guy over any "sitcom" out there.

Wow. There are so many movies out there worth watching more than once. Fight Club, Schindler's List, Shawshank..... I can't believe you can watch a movie once and think you've seen all that there is to be seen....

Impressive. I inherited a crapload of DVDs and CDs but I hate having a bunch of clutter just sitting around, so they are all at my sister's house. I ripped all the CDs I wanted and "rent" DVDs whenever I visit. I am currently filling up a 1TB hard drive at home with movies and TV shows, catching up on a bunch of series like Weeds -- a lot of hi-def versions can now be found online.

Friends was funny and Seinfeld was predictable? That's pretty funny to me. Oh well, my wife likes Friends and doesn't get Seinfeld either.

Funny thing about Seinfeld is most of the dumbest shit was based on real life things. When Kramer gets pissed about Peterman stealing his stories for his biography and does a Real Peterman Bus tour, well...

The clutter is annoying, but in most cases I like having the actual case/book/etc. with each movie. I'm pretty much done buying TV shows on disc, though, other than the series I've already got. They're just easier to download and I'm not as picky with their quality as I am with movies.

The amount of space it all takes up is a bit ridiculous, though. Especially since about 98% of my books are in storage. One would think I was completely illiterate if glancing at my bookcase right now.

One would think I was completely illiterate if glancing at my bookcase right now.My brother's place was simply awash in CDs and DVDs. I'm always acting like my living situation is temporary, so taking one computer would be much easier than boxes and boxes of crap. I'm thinking of selling off most of it to give my sister some room and some cash. I cataloged them in a database at some point -- need to find that hard drive.

That's one of the ones I have on VHS in storage. I've been slowly replacing them on DVD since I moved, but haven't gotten around to that one yet. It's a crap movie, but I love it.

I thought it was alright. Would have been alot better without Renee Zellweger. She was awful in it.

Wow. There are so many movies out there worth watching more than once. Fight Club, Schindler's List, Shawshank..... I can't believe you can watch a movie once and think you've seen all that there is to be seen....

No I always watch movies more than once----but everything is so easily accessible I just don't feel like I need to own many. The few that I do have are ones that I wouldn't be able to walk into Blockbuster to get; all from the 1940's. My main problem is that I hate to be bothered storing "stuff"; I'm military and one thing I do every time I buy something is ask myself, "Do I really want to move this in a couple of years?"

Good point.

I like having a collection of DVD's so that if I want to watch a flick, I don't have to go out and rent it. I like having my favorites at my fingertips.

:wow Some of you guys have some huge collections. I own maybe 10 dvds! Do you watch them more than once? I'm the same with books, read them once and then give them away.

:lol I'm like you. I think the only DVDs we have are the Spurs Championship DVDs, and a Tupac documentary.
