Pretty good
What do you think about that stick save, eh?
Thanks for the info man. It will be a year and a half or so, but we'd be going around Christmas time. (My time here in Hawaii ends early Dec 2012.) The wife and I would probably just be going for a weekend or so, so we want to make sure to hit up all the "touristy" stuff.
Part 2: You can also cross-country ski, go sliding at Mont-Royal park. It's free. The Botanical garden is also very popular. You will also inevitably go the underground city, which is just a fancy name for connected underground malls and food courts And finally, if you can, you should get tickets for a Canadiens home game; you just have to; best building in the league, and seeing red midgets getting destroyed at full speed is quite spectacular
There is winter. And there is frozen hell in Montreal. In summer, you have a lot of festivities and events: international jazz fest, F1 grand prix, Nascar, Just for Laughs festival (I went to see Craig Ferguson and Jason Alexander-stand up comedy)and the city just looks much better in summer But after a good snowstorm, the city looks great as well, which is perfect for Christmas and NYE You can walk around the Old Montreal and the Old Port, where the original Molson brewery is located. There is also the Igloofest http://www.tourisme-montreal.org/Nou...ents/igloofest, but it's generally around January. There's skating in Old Montreal but most prefer the indoor rink with music at 1000 de la gauchetière. Costs a few dollars. You can also skate on the "lac des castors" (Beaver lake) at Mont-Royal park. The Biodôme is very popular indoors you can see animals in different environments.
Damn your Habs! But why's December a crappy time? If you're saying because of the weather, I'm a fan of winter. Haven't gotten much of it in the places I've been stationed. Plus, I don't think we'll be able to go during the summertime. Should I visit Toronto instead? lol
December? Not the best time of the year to visit Montreal I will get back to you later with suggestions Just make sure to not wear any Bruins jersey or hat in MTL
You live in Montreal? What are some good places to visit? I'm from NH, and it's about a four hour drive to Montreal... I plan on going when my assignment in Hawaii is done (next year around December).
