I'm hearing dad issues the edict, sign with Notre Dame and he'll sign the LOI. Sign with Arizona, and he won't. Not sure if true, but real dick move by dad to let the kid think he was going somewhere for an entire week, plan an event, let the event develop and then place the kid in proverbial handcuffs and force him to do your will.
Just found it.....so the event is canceled? This kid and it sounds like his dad as well is as narcissistic as it gets. I hate all the recruits who think they're so awesome that they need to wait till after signing day because they won't get as much attention if they announce on signing day, but to call that big event on not even show up is even worse.
There was, but the event is, 1. delayed by nearly an hour and 2. is likely going to be canceled. Up until this morning, Dad said he supported the decision. I was never completely confident in pops taking a step back and letting the talent actually make the call, which is why I never spoke in absolutes. For a week it's been a solid decision, and yesterday two of my most trusted sources said barring something unforeseen, Neal to Arizona was done. Enter daddy unforeseen. My guess is he caves to dad and goes to Notre Dame by week's end. Sucks, cause Arizona had him 100%.

Freakin' Dad... It's not yet completely turned, but he was supposed to announce 20 minutes ago and the event hasn't even started. I'm hearing dad is pushing for Notre Dame really hard, really late after it's been Arizona since last Wednesday. Sucks for Neal who may has to go through this because his father wants to live vicariously through him.
There's some really good speed in the class, but, yeah, not exactly what I was expecting once Fuller got involved. Neal is not a lock, as I remember Rick Rickert with basketball. Dad's can be persuasive. However, I've been told the decision is Neal's to make and Neal wants Arizona.
I'm switching back and forth And thank god, this class was nothing to get excited about. Between Neal and that receiver who woulda been a 4 or 5 star recruit if not for injuries in HS, he has plenty of speed at the position and hopefully will still utilize Dan Buckner. My concerns on offense are Matt Scott and the offensive line. All 5 starters come back this year, but all 5 starters suck.
You still using this handle? Anyways... Neal looks official to AZ. I've talked to two people who are finally comfortable saying for certain, and that if anything occurs between now and 9 a.m. tomorrow it was be a major upset.
Neal to Arizona if he gets to pick for himself. Neal to Notre Dame if Daddy gets his way. Truth. We shall see. It's a fluid situation.
Neal likely won't be visiting at all, but it's because Arizona's already in a position of strength enough that a visit to a familiar place isn't needed. Not 100% yet, but my guy says Neal to UA. UA is still looking at Della Valle, but is just as interested in potential upperclassmen transfers as adding more freshman, so it's no guarantee ADV is a Wildcat.
