Even the Homers can't say that spurs are playing OK unless they are still in complete denial.

    Parker is nash on defense.
Sadly but right now even Nash is better.

This year against TP all the players have the better game of his career.

I hope all of the idiots saying "it's only December" realize how pathetic their argument are.
Spurs were on top of the West in December, look how things quickly turned for the worst.

How good does that win feel? It should feel fantastic. Good game.

Boy I tell you as a fan of the Spurs it was the most disgusting, gutless, pansy ass effort I have ever seen.

The Spurs '96-'97 team played tougher and with more heart than these ing players on the court tonight.
Yea its a very big win.. very tough back to back.. I didn't expect to win either. Dallas and san antonio are always hard places to win. The team stepped up and showed heart tonight.

Well this sucks. I would give up Hill and Mason Jr. in any package for Vince Carter if that trade was still there.

Don't need either of them and you could have just resigned Bruce Bowen for defense.

Can someone please tell me why Bruce was not resigned?

You see him defend Bayless? Bogans can't keep up with his explosive first step.
Nobody can.. that's why you put a shot blocker in the paint... Unfortunately ours watched the entire game from the bench...

I (somewhat) give credit to Nate McMillan. For the past 5 years or so, he's one of the better coaches who has the Xs and Os to take down Tim Duncan and crew, or at least compete against them. Still though tonight, the Spurs should have won by at least 15.

Doesnt mean there doesn't need to be improvment on this team.

with most of Portlands key players out I wouldn't even call them a over .500 team.

Well there is just a little problem, 90% of this game Bayless was defended by Bogans and Hill.
Most of the time Parker was on Miller 2/13 and Blake 3/6.

I want to know if he'll be a man and ask something about that to Pop. He said that, now be a man and ask him something about small ball in the press-conference

    G.Hill = Defensive Stopper
To be fair to myself, ive been saying hes an over rated defender since his rookie season...

People think freakish long arms = good defensive player...

He doesnt move his feet well at all...

He's more of a player on defense who plays the passing lanes well, but obviously he needs more work on man-to-man D, especially against the quicker PGs in the league.

The game has changed. The Spurs formula just does not work any more. Way too many athletes, way too much length, we are an obsolete model for success.

If this spurs team, with its current age, went against the NBA at any point more than 3 years ago, we'd be a given to make it deep in the playoffs. But all the ridiculous, lanky, explosive athletes that have been drafted by the dozens for most of the past decade have all grown up and are in the start of their prime. Adding one or two players ain't gonna fix this machine.
