Well if you are keeping in line with adding more scoring and athletes, he fits, but damn he still is knucklehead. I am not sure he can play within a system either.

But you start Manu and bring him off the bench? Could be an explosive 6th man if he would accept that role (which isn't happening). Rather have Green IMO.

Wants to cash in and get security. Reportedly intends to re-sign with New York for a larger deal.

This guy is damn talented. I wish he could just put it all together. I wonder what what would have happened to his career if that Brent Barry trade wet down.

Stupid is as stupid does, and he's going to age out of his vertical leap on this next contract. This ship sailed in 2006.

That's a cheap contract 2 X 2.8 million. SPURS should actually bring in this guy for more $

He's officially an NY Knick. He signed for only 2 years, $2.8 million/year. That's a bargain. Novak's getting paid more than him.. He must've really wanted to be a Knick.

Well, he's reunited with his old buddy Melo (and Camby) and Woodson likes him to chuck, er, spark the offense.

The second year is a PO, and the Knicks will have Early Bird rights. Methinks this is a wink and nod with a better contract already negotiated for next summer.

By George I think hes on to something!

Yea, you're absolutely right in that respect. He'll decline his player option and then sign a big dollar multi-year deal afterwards. Thats the plan at least.

Dangerous to do this though...an ACL tear would leave him in a pretty ed up situation.

It astounds me that the Knicks have had a reasonable offseason so far. Sure, they're taking on one too many TOSB, but they're not overpaying!

You mean other than Camby, Kidd, Novak, and Lin (once they match)?
