I believe his commitment to TP and salary considerations stopped this whic makes the Gasol and Mills contracts that much more infuriating to think about. In hindsight, with Kawhi out this team would've been 2nd round fodder even with CP3.
STFU for real he was never going to come to SA.
Rumors were rampant that Spurs and Rockets were his favored destinations and then Spurs never pursued CP3 heavily. Makes sense considering DJ, TP, and Mills already in the fold plus CP3 demanding max money. It was more on the onus for Spurs to not pursue than CP3 who just wanted a championship. Spurs had to be seen as a better fit for him to win over Rockets this past offseason.
Oh look, it's the one shot that CP0's apologists always post because it's the only time he's ever been clutch in the playoffs.
Spurs are always in rumors for a top FA. Player's agents do that all the time to put pressure on rival teams to sign their clients. LMA is the only great FA the spurs have ever signed. Let that sink in for a second. Guys don't want to be here in SA. The odds of the spur getting CP3 or Lebron through FA is as high as the fat ugly kid hooking up with the high school cheerleader.
cp3 is good and all but we don't need anymore flopping crybaby's like him with a skill set unmatched but he'd rather use dramatics instead.
Once the Rockets don't win it all this year and Paul ages and misses more games, the window closes. They traded away too much for the one shot at glory. They will be bottom feeders soon enough.

Also, how do you guys know CP3 would do that in SA? Might be only against the Spurs. You wouldn't bring Austin Rivers.

CP3 is a great point guard and he would've made a complete Spurs team great. But with Kawhi out, we would probably be where we are or maybe a little better, but we wouldn't be contenders. And we'd be saddled with his big contract, would've traded off half our roster, and Paul would probably just be trade bait by next season if he wasn't forcing his way out sooner.
Interestingly enough there is nothing stated about how kl was a no show game 7..... but but but hes a max player.... but but but fmvp.... lol
Teodosic > CP3 tbh.
