Oh man. Poor pirate. Hope he pulls thru
Saw that last night. Hope he pulls through. He's pretty cutthroat in football but it's pretty hard to not love his personality off the field.
His coaching career is likely over either way though.

Sadly he didn't make it. He was one of college football's great coaching personalities and a pretty good coach.
i didn't agree with a lot of his views and as i had just posted last week, was often turned off by some of his disciplinary practices, i have to admit that he was quite a personality and a great offensive mind. RIP
Didnt real like or hate him. I do not like to see anyone pass though.
RIP Pirate
I was shocked Mr.Leach managed to survive the cultural shift in this sport. Forced him to abandon the Pac10 though.
Very revolutionary Coach.
Ditto. He definitely walked a close line of just bullying some of the players he thought were slacking.
Fun times for sure during his years in Lubbock tho.
Rip, pirate
One time Mike Leach told one of his players that he wasn’t going to play, probably at all, but that he’d like to have him start coaching as a student assistant. The kid got pissed and left his office. Came back the next day and took the job. That was Lincoln Riley.
From Twitter
He did make sport very entertaining.
but could be a complete asshole.
What should also be said at his funeral:
"He was an acquired taste."
definitely the best way to describe leach.
Bowl season starts tomorrow... that was fast. the UTSA vs. Troy game is interesting but too bad it is at 2PM on a Friday.
big news for the power five conferences and the NCAA
Is his dad still playing?
Honestly I personally am woozy from all the rulings and possible ramifications.
No one knows where the train is headed.
no. i think he was trying his hand at boxing.
Hate to see KU Arky end on that ridiculously overthrown pass.
Looked like he could have run it in too.
No replay, BSPN just cuts to the rah rah.
Lane Kiffin is a horrible head coach. How did he ever get this far?
Bama beat them by 6, while we beat them by 17
Tech > Bama tbh imho
yeah, i don't know what the hype is on him. ole miss will tire of him in a couple of years.
I think you gotta see what type of team a University can field for a bowl game. So many opt outs and transfers.
I get the feeling Kiffin gathers a group of mercenaries better than many coaches. The bowl season is a whole new season really for next year imo. (other than the chosen 4, soon to be top 12). Unless you have a group of seniors (maybe not NFL bound) that are using the bowl as their last hurrah together, where is the motivation other than motivation for a good kerfuffle. Especially with the NFL, NIL, and Transfer portal. It seems you have to have a very dedicated group who really wants to play hard.
And that would be Oregon St. That team had some serious "want" imo.

How the F did Ohio St. even make it into the final four?
The big deal was making a conf championship game so the Big 12 was forced to do it AFTER TCU lost out to Ohio St. for the final 4.
If the conf championship is so fkn important, how did Ohio St. even make it when they did not even play in it?
Is it, sit it out and your are in? Is that the rub?
And think about Michigan playing Ohio St. again before the national final. Michigan: "We just beat the stuffin out of you guys on your own field, now we have to play you again to get to the championship? We already did that IN CONFERENCE. So best two out of three now?"
Georgia did play Alabama in two championships. But at least Georgia got into the almighty conf championship game.
The easiest path is Georgia v. Michigan. Only two teams really deserved it imo.
