Huh? I like the Skins to win, but it's not much better than a toss-up. Neither team has an NFL caliber quarterback starting at the moment.
As long as Jackson is healthy, this kind of game, particularly at home, should absolutely be the pick, against what will be one of the league's bottom feeders yet again, even though they don't have a first-round pick in 2024.
Millennial Messiah:
Week 1: Baltimore Ravens over Houston Texans.
Home opener and I can’t name more than 5 players on Arizona’s entire roster and I follow the NFL pretty closely
I'm with DD and going Washington.
Does AZ have incentive to tank the entire year?
Sure. Tank for Caleb Williams and give Kyler a full season of recovery before getting some sucker team to take him off their hands for a 1st. Murray might be a Raider come 2024 opener
If Dak does ok, Zeke sees a resurgence with New England this year, but the Cowboys fail to make the conference finals yet again, I could see a scenario where Dak Prescott is a Patriot and Bill Belichick finally gets Jerruh's guys over the hump. Cowboys
Bill Belichick winning a SB ring with the likes of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott being the Pats' offense would forever immortalize BB in legend, tbh.
Yeah, the only team that doesn't is Houston, but Houston has such a ty roster that it won't matter anyway. Maybe they'll get 2 wins off the Colts if they're lucky.
I mean ok, but who is the Commanders/Redskins quarterback anyway?
How does AZ still have a team?
Looks like everyone survived today week 1, unlike the last couple years
Yeah, everyone who didn't get a pick in yet can either pick tonight's game before kickoff, or else they have to pick a team tomorrow
tomorrow's game is a pure coin flip, so, I wouldn't recommend picking from tomorrow
then again, the Giants are no pushovers, and were a solid playoff team last year and even won a road playoff game.
They’ll probably win 1-2 games this year just out of shear luck, but imo this team is far worse than the 2008 Lions or any other team I’ve ever watched as long as I’ve followed football.
These PFF rankings are astoundingly bad
Offensive line - 31st
Running back - 31st
Receiver / TE - 28th
Quarterback - 29th (and that’s before McCoy was cut so it’s prob 32nd now)
Defensive line - 32nd
linebackers - 23rd (and this was before Isaiah Simmons was traded)
Secondary - 29th (also outdated since PFF factored in Simmons’ ability to play corner)
In my ~20 years following football I can’t recall a roster so devoid of talent all over the field. I don’t even understand how an NFL roster gets to be this ty.
And yet AZ led 16-10 going into the 4th and only trailed 17-16 with the ball driving to mid field before a tanky looking fumble and unsportsmanlike penalty to boot for the seal.
Doesn't say much for WA.
Oh agreed. If the DC team we saw on the field on Sunday is the team we’re going to get this year, they’ll be one of the worst in the NFL.
Tanking doesn’t account for how many 1st/2nd round picks they’ve whiffed on in the last 5 yrs
The Commodes don't have a QB, what do you expect?
