o yeah, they are staying in a hotel in Long Beach
haha they made me go and show the Mexican Soccer team, the national team around, Memo Ochoa is a , the rest of the Mexican squad are nice, haha one of them is even willing to pay for a ticket of the laker game if i go with him, too bad i work so i cant take him, i dont even watch soccer so i dont know the players, i just find it funny they picked me
Ochoa you can tell is a major . Best goalie Mexico has though.
yeah you cant to him because he thinks he is the best, the person i was with who told me to show them around told me not to ask him for anything, he is my fav mexican player t
Yeah, very good goalie but it doesn't surprise me to hear that it's gone to his head.
In no way should anyone on the "hasn't accomplished in decades" Mexican team be full of himself. No one.
That's pretty cool dude.
I got to escort Avery Johnson, Vinnie Del Negro, and S y Lares around my middle school on seperate occasions when I was in the 8th grade. You might now who 2 out of the 3 are.
I don't know if anybody here has been following this but Salvador Cabanas, forward of Club America and the national soccer team of Paraguay was shot in the head. He underwent surgery and is in a critical but stable condition.

I heard that news yesterday and it made me a bit pissed (mainly because Mexico City people act like ing animals). This guy played his heart out with Jaguares and America, and an entire country was looking forward to a good performance playing for Paraguay.
The fact that he probably won't play another game in his life is the least of anyone's worries. I feel for the guy and the family, and hope he gets well soon.
Yeah I read it in a newspaper. That's horrible.
The new black jerseys they wore against New Zealand looked sick
In other news, s soccer sucks.
Mexico has another upcoming and talented young player. Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez from Chivas was signed by Manchester United.
World Cup: Manchester United signs Mexico's Javier Hernandez
April 8, 2010 |
Six months ago, Javier Hernandez was close to quitting soccer. On Thursday, he became an international soccer star.
Hernandez, the 21-year-old scoring leader for the Mexican national team, has agreed to a transfer to Manchester United of the English Premier League. Hernandez's Mexican club, Chivas of Guadalajara, will receive an undisclosed transfer fee once Hernandez obtains a work permit, The striker, who sustained a thigh strain last week, has already passed a physical, the English club said.
Hernandez, who was named to Mexico's preliminary World Cup roster and has 10 goals in eight games for Chivas this year, is expected to join that team in training camp this weekend. He won't begin his assignment in England until after the World Cup.
"I am delighted to reach agreement with Chivas to bring such an exciting young striker, who has been in such prolific form for both his club and his country," Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said. "He will be a great addition to our squad, and we look forward to welcoming our first Mexican player in the summer."
As part of the agreement between Manchester United and Chivas, Manchester United will travel to Guadalajara to play the Mexican club in the opening match in Chivas' long-delayed 45,000-seat stadium July 30
"We are equally excited to play our first game in Mexico, opening the magnificent new Chivas stadium in July," Ferguson said.
Frustrated by a lack of playing time, Hernandez nearly walked away from soccer to concentrate on his college studies in business administration. But he came off the bench in last fall's Apertura to score 11 goals in 18 games, earning a tryout with the national team this winter, and he hasn't looked back since.

First even Mexican to play for Manchester Utd. Hopefully he impresses more than Dos Santos and Vela in the premier league, but I don't see him getting much playing time his first year unless they make radical changes with their forwards
wow pretty surprised at this, he definitely has European quality and I was expecting a team to nab him but not a giant like Man U...Im expecting them to loan him out for a season or two until he gets more experience under his belt like Arsenal did with Vela.
