I absolutely love his hustle in Game 1. He was going for every board and lose ball like a bat out of . His confidence seems like its through the roof as well, even if his touch didn't deserve it.
I've been a fan since he showed at Montezuma Mesa here in San Diego, CA.

He was CalHiSports Mr. Basketball State of California when he played at Riverside King High School.
You guys need a little history about what type of guy Kawhi is?

Ill post here to avoid making a new thread about him.
Not to be negative or anything but I dont understand all the excitement over this guy. I get that he has all the physical tools, like length and athleticism, to turn into a solid defensive player. But thats no guarantee and even if he developes as planned that will take some time, definitely dont see him turning into a lockdown defender his rookie yr.
Offensively, I know me and the great leader timvp arent the only ones that see how awkward this nlgga looks on that side of the ball. His shot has poor form and his handles are suspect. I much like the great leader have my doubts about this dude being able to develop a solid offensive game.
Hopefully I end up being wrong but Im a bit skeptical about this nlgga
Pop sure seems to like him...
Kawhi is that whati
I am a SDSU fan and saw him play a lot (almost every home game) in college. He is the perfect fit for the Spurs, a humble kid with a nose for the ball who will defend, hustle and not complain.
He is going to be a much better player than George Hill in my opinion, maybe not as a scorer but everything else. And he won't be texting photos of his junk around either.
8 rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench vs the Clippers. Been a long time since we've had a SF rebound that well. Especially a 2nd game SF. That's a damn good sign :-)
I'm more of an Anderson fan but hey, what the , Leonard is one boarding mofo
i still wanan see pop experiment him by putting him on the stars....
looks like he knows the defensive rotations for help defense whether its a zone or helping a man down low
In. Very excited by this kid.
Spurs turn to Kawhi early

stupid luva, go see more naruto
Posting from the future. He becomes Dennis Rodman with an offensive game.
But that's not to say that Dennis Rodman couldn't be very offensive.
count me in,
Kawhi is Bruce 2.0
dig it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so Earth has a future after 2012??????
lol
A meteor comes crashing to earth in 2012 but Kawhi jumps into space and blocks it.
cool!!! lol
glad to have Kawhi on our team really
now, if we could only get one more player, a big for our second team, hmmmmmmm
Even if he misses some rotations he has a good activity level on the defensive end. Some players just watch the ball but he seems to keep active and anticipate.
Now that I think about it Leonard and Bonner could help each other and toghether be useful for the Spurs.
Leonard helps the team make up for Bonner's lack of rebounding and inside presence and on offense you can have Bonner outside (drawing out an opossing bigman) while Leonard can be flying around crashing the offensive boards and cutting to the basket.
I don't care if he scores.
Can't believe me & LL agree on something.
Norv Turner and AJ Smith have got to go!!!!
In. The kid has heart. Heart goes a long way.
So do his arms.
