    Team Kemp

    Best Line-Up

    PG – Wall
    SG – Teague
    G – Lowry

    SF – DeRozan
    PF – James
    F – Wallace

    C – Hibbert
    C – Gasol

    Utl – Morris
    Utl – Jefferson

    B – Gooden
    B – Williams
    B – Green

Anytime you start a team with LeBron, things are looking good. But this is a well rounded team. Starting from the middle, Hibbert and Gasol form a very solid duo in the middle and provide high and well balanced production from the C positions. Lowry gives you everything you’ll ever need in the Guard stats (3pt, apg, FT%, stls), and Teague has started the season with huge minutes and increased productivity. Wall just is about as good a fantasy player as he is in real life if your wanting to win games, his TOs and low FG% are a killer. Wallace is also showing solid production and I like the all round game he brings to compliment Lebron. All in all, the biggest weakness this team has lay in the balance of the squad. Typically Head to Head teams are not built like this one, but the Utility positions could go a long way towards filling the categories needed each week to get the Ws on the board.

    Manu's Wrath

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Lawson
    SG - Henderson
    G - Holiday

    SF - Jerebko
    PF - Smith
    F - Beasley

    C - Howard
    C - Bogut

    Utl - Irving
    Util - Gortat

    B - Cole
    B - Shumpert
    B - Turner

Another Ruffy team built around Dwight with a punt strategy being employed on FT% (& 3s). The first thing that jumps of the page at me is the lack of versitility in the line-up, with 4 PG and 3 C only players. It's early days and I imagine this will shake out come playoffs, although Howard, Gortat and Bogut will stick I'm sure. The problem will come if Shumpert and Cole continue to produce, tough decisions will need to be made to avoid missed games. The Howard/Bogut/Gortat combo just about assures wins in rebounds and blocks every week and a great deal of +55% FG points scored. Lawson fits the strategy perfectly and looks to be set for another great season. Holiday makes less sense, but he and Irving (and to a lesser extent Cole/Shumpert) are an impressive ensemble of guards to chase assists, steals & A/T each week. So strong is this team up front with HoBoGo that Smith is really only hammering home those must win categories and I kinda feel that Ruffy may be a little too strong in too few categories this year around and may need to tweak a little to get the wins in the right number of categories.

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Calderon
    SG - Allen
    G - Conley

    SF - Gay
    PF - Love
    F - Jackson

    C - Cousins
    C - Horford

    Utl - Williams
    Utl - Walker

    B - Hamilton
    B - Hickson
    B - Casspi

Kevin Freakin Love is officially a Fantasy Beast! I was down on Love during drafts and considered last year to be a fluke, but I missed a draft and scored him with my first pick in one of my leagues and can only now truely appreciate his game. Love is worth 2 players every day he plays and he is arguably the #1 player in the game in terms of impact in both roto and h2h. The Durants, LeBrons, and CP3s of the world are better all round, but they don't pack the punch Love does on a box score. Teamed with Gay and Jackson, the 3s are strong, and any team with Love will be strong in rebounds, but this team won't be winning blocks anytime soon. Calderon, Allen and Conley are a curious and balanced bunch each a somewhat specialist in Assists, 3s and Stls respectively, but all contribute a bit across the board. Cousin and Hortford isn't the stongest combo in the middle and Cousins will take away from Horford's FG% strength. This is a very strong FT% shooting team, possbly the strongest in the league, Love goes to the line a lot, as does Lou Williams. Hickson and Walker are good gambles, Hickson is good insurance for a team with Cousins also. Consistency will be the concern going forward, Love and Horford will always be there to carry the load, but the success of the team will rest on the health and accurate shooting of the likes of Allen, Jackson, and Gay.

    Best line-up

    PG - Chamers
    SG - Matthews
    G - Wright

    SF - Young
    PF - Stoudamire

    C - Brand
    C - Gasol

    Utl - Humphries
    Utl - Terry

    B - Allen
    B - Dudley
    B - Bass

I'm really liking the way this team is built, the massive frontline of Gasol, Amare, Bosh, Brand is already a tough beat for Blks, Rebs, FG%, but then add Humphries and Bass to the mix and it's becoming mission impossible for the league. Add to the the genius idea to punt assists and load up on 3s and steals in the back court and wings with Chamers, Matthews, Terry and Wright. This is a classic Bigs and Small H2H line-up and it has the perfect blend of complimentary players in Allen, Dudley and Young to sure up steals and FG%. I guess the only sour note here is the poor play of Dorell Wright. He seems to be really struggling to get it together, he is getting the minutes just not the stats. If he pulls out of the slump, this team becomes dangerous in just about every category outside Assists and A/T.

    Spurs Brazil

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Westbrook
    SG - Ginobili
    G - Pierce

    SF - Deng
    PF - Nowitzki
    F - Garnett

    C - Varejo
    C - Anderson

    Utl - Thornton
    Utl - Jamison

    B - Gordon
    B - Hill
    B - Bayless

Every year I watch guys draft on potential and see players going way to early because "this is their year", all the while older superstars of the fantasy game slide down the draft after having proven those same doubters wrong the year before with yet another great statistical season. Spurs Brazil has loaded up on those superstars in Pierce, Ginobili and Garnett, and while the injury bug has already bitten with Ginobili, all three are capable of producing top 10 numbers in the fantasy game. Westbrook really fits this team too, but his assist numbers are down early. This team will need those to go up as it relies heavily on incidental assists from the front-line and lacks another assist gathering point gaurd. Pierce is off to a slow shooting start, but I loved having him on my team last year and is terribly underrated in the fantasy game. Nowitzki and Garnett are both positive players who don't hurt you anywhere, but are looking a little soft in the rebounds early on. This rebound softness is continued in the middle with Varejo and Anderson. Anderson will get his, but that's about all he does. It's a pity Ruffy didn't include flops as a category becuase this team would win every week with Varejo and Manu. Anderson is this years early steal of the draft, his 3's per game are great at the C position, but this team would benefit more from a traditional double double and a couple of blocks type big man. Deng will fill the stat sheet, but he needs to do a little more Josh Smith type numbers in rebounds and blocks to help this team where it needs it most.

    Bowen's Kung Fu

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Paul
    SG - Gordon
    G - Rubio

    C - Jordan
    C - Munroe

    Utl - Hawes
    Utl - Augustin

    B - Young
    B - Favors
    B - Hansborough

This is a deep team with many of the younger prospects producing beyond expected levels. Rubio is living up to hype and producing starter PG quality stats. Along with Gordon and Paul, this is a very nice backcourt, complimented by Johnson, Richardson, Young and Augustin there will be plenty of assists, 3s, steals and points. Up front this team isn't so strong. Jordan will bring plenty of blocks and Hawes has been awesome so far, and I don't see any signs of it letting up in this his contract year. Lee, Favours and Hansborough will help with rebounds, but it probably won't be enough to compete with the heavy hitters and this team will rely on the guard stats to get the wins each week. The shooting % are taking hits all over the place right now, but the percentages should be stronger than they appear at first sight with Munroe, Lee, Johnson and Paul all capable of carrying the load in that department. I'd love this team as a Dynasty team, but I'm just not sure if there is enough to take the cake this year.

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Parker
    SG - Crawford
    G - Iguodala

    SF - Batum
    PF - Aldridge
    F - Scola

    C - Camby
    C - Griffin

    Utl - Budinger
    Utl - Jennings

    B - Morrow
    B - Daye
    B - Blair

I just got beat 5-4-0 last week by this team, and I just couldn't see where it was coming from. A quick glance across the roster and there doesn't appear to be much to work with. Obviously Griffin and Aldridge are top quality bigs and Points, FG% and rebounds are strong. Neither block shots and when paired with Scola there is gapping hole in that department. Camby a few years back might have carried that load, but he won't be doing that in 2012. Parker's greatest strength in the fantasy game is his FG% at the PG position, but that hasn't been the case so far this year. Scary note: Brandon Jennings is shooting a higher FG% right now! Iggy and Batum compliment the non shot blocking bigs nicely, but they are also shooting poorly and this will all drag down on the strengths of Griffin and Aldridge. FT% will also struggle with Griffin and Iggy. Parker, Jennings Crawford and Iggy balance out nicely to provide a solid number of assists, steals and 3's but again a balanced squad is not always the way to go in H2H leagues. Like I said, I got beat 5-4-0, and I'm putting it down to the sneaky stat gatherers like Iggy, Jennings, Camby and Batum who rate low overall because of short falls in shooting percentages, but they are being carried early on by Griffin and Aldridge who are complimenting each other nicely so far.

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Nash
    SG - Wade
    G - Ellis

    SF - Turkoglu
    PF - Millsap
    F - West

    C - McGee
    C - Haslem

    Utl - Blatche
    Utl - Jack

    B - Delfino
    B - Johnson
    B - Carter

This team features a loaded backcourt with Nash, Wade, Ellis and Jack. Wade and Nash compliment each other really well, with Wade covering most of Nash's shortfalls in the steals and blocks. Ellis however, will drag the shooting percentages down, but adds strength to points, steals and assists. Jack is very fortunate to have zero competition for minutes and will continue to accumulate stats while he does. One weakness in the backcourt appears to be a lack of 3 point shooting. Nash's 3pt bombing days are behind him and the team will rely on Turkoglu and Delfino to have any fight in that category. Frontcourt rebounding is also a weakness with Millsap, Haslem and McGee having to do the bulk of the work. West is efficient, but doesn't really provide much help the rebounding or block shoting department. But there is good rebounding support in the backcourt with Wade and Jack both strong rebounders at their positions. Wade is the key to this team, and the early injury cloud is concerning. On a brighter note, Turkoglu and Haslem appear to be having strong bounce back seasons and both help the team grealty in areas of need, good news for a team that has struggled to two previous seasons.

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Rose
    SG - Bryant
    G - Evans

    SF - Granger
    PF - Boozer
    F - Duncan

    C - Bargnani
    C - Perkins

    Utl - Okafor
    Utl - Douglas

    B - Maggette
    B - Salmons
    B - Neal

Winning points won't be too much trouble for this team each week. Rose, Bryant and Evans will score plenty, but the shooting percentages won't always be pretty. Together they'll be solid in 3pt, steals and both Rose, Bryant and Granger shoot plenty of FTs at a good percentage which should cover some of the damage from a few of the bigs. Granger, Boozer and Duncan look great on paper, but Granger has had a slow start and has slid for a few years now. Duncan's numbers are not pretty and Boozer has never really been much of a fantasy player as he only contributes in 3 categories FG%, Points & rebounds. Bargnani is looking good and has put up great numbers so far, he'll need to maintain those number to give this team a fighting chance. Perkins, Okafor are rebounds and blocks, which are needed but that's all they'll do. The other thing I dislike about this team is that it features several players who are likely to given a rest in those ever crucial playoff weeks. Rose, Bryant and definately Duncan could all miss games in those weeks and that could be fatal for the teams chances.

    C - Lopez

    Utl - Afflalo
    Utl - Butler

    B - Harrington
    B - Redick
    B - Thomas

Smacked early and hard by the injury bug, this team has struggled to date. Randolph and Lopez are both significant players and would have been leaned upon heavily to maintain FG%, rebounds and points. Jefferson must do so alone now and that won't be enough. Harrington is a great replacement, but he does much the same as Gallinari and won't replace rebounds or help the FG% like Randolph would do. Butler, Afflalo, Fields and Harden are a nice collection of wings who will bring plenty across the board, with steals and 3pt becoming a strength when combined with Gallo and Harrington. Williams and Collison are the PGs, but because few others will contribute to the assist totals and they will struggle to compete with most teams in this league. Williams is off to slow start and his FG% and assist totals are being killed by the fact he has nobody to pass to in New Jersey. The return of Lopez will help this team greatly, but I don't think it will help enough.

    Best Line-Up

    PG - Kidd
    SG - Billups
    G - Curry

    SF - Anthony
    PF - Ibaka
    F - Diaw

    C - Hilario
    C - Hayes

    Utl - George
    Utl - Johnson

    B - Frye
    B - Williams
    B - Miles

Two weeks in and this team roster is very shaky. Curry's ankles are the biggest concern, he is a 1st round pick and would be a huge hit. Kidd and Billups are both going to miss games too, and they are both on the downside of their fantasy careers. George has been a great suprise, although many were expecting it, so not such a suprise. He and Anthony will help fill in on those guard stats in 3pt, assists and steals. Diaw is another who has had an early surge, and his assists are a gem at the forward position. I love the Kidd/Diaw combo, but Kidd isn't quite bringing the same rebound totals he used to to compensate for Diaw and Anthony in the frontline. Ibaka is only averaging less than 6 rpg so far and this has to be a huge concern for the team. Hilario is efficient, but won't blow anybody away with massive rebounding totals either. Channing Frye has been a huge disappoinment and his numbers are way down across the board. Amir Johnson is a positive and he will provide some solid help to the FG% rebounding and blocks which is very much needed. Mo Williams is also continuing to produce and this is a positive and he also provides some insurance for Billups too. Curry will need to return and play strong to help seal up some of the guard stats, but a real lack of bigs will hurt this teams chances.

This is not a team I was expecting to draft when picking at #5, but when Durant falls you have to take him. He'll cover my scoring, FT% and steals, but traditionally I prefer to avoid high volume scorers unless they shoot plus .500%. On the fly, I compounded the problem by selecting Martin and together it is difficult to lift the FG% when both Martin and Durant combine for over 30 shots a game. Bynum and Chandler are both strong FG% shooters and they are shooting a much higher volume than previous years, but that won't be enough to help the FG%. This combo worked well for me last year and I was very happy to get the boys together again. Rondo, Felton, Miller and Nelson are a strong group of point guards and they should keep me strong in assists and steals, but are not probably giving me enough 3's and a move may be needed. Noah was intriging last year, his rebounding, steals, blocks and high FG% fit would fit nicely with Durant, but he hasn't had the best start to the season. Kaman and Odom are again more bigs who I am hoping to lift the FG% and should provide some rebounding help too. Durant was too good to pass up on, but he will require me to change my H2H philosophy and he hasn't shown me anything yet that would make me want to do that. This might mean some big moves are on the horizon.

    The Tortillas

I just have a match up against tortillas the week Kobe drops 50 pts at 50% FG and Duncan has his two best games of the season... I'm fucked
