LARP talk is only for those that are real and dedicated. I got tired of those pretending to be LARPers and of those that didn't understand it so they made fun of it.
I actually quit that shit. It was fun for a while but the more I thought about it, the more I couldn't figure out what the point was. Ok, so we won a LARP battle...so what. I still had to get up the next day and go to work. I'm sure you could say this about a lot of hobbies but I couldn't justify the time and money spent. And it's strange, now that I'm not involved in it, I can look at it and see how silly it all really is.

i actually used to go to school with a dude who larped. he was really fuckin serious about it too. brought his homemade armor to show everyone at school and participated in competitions...mind he was a senior in high school...
We used to ball at Pease Park sort of kind of regularly on Saturday/Sundays and they had a Larp crew out there who had horses and parrots and shit, and they would basically sit around and drank beer and show off to their (surprisingly hot) girls how good they could fake sword fight
seemed like they were having fun
