We've got some Spurfans on the other side who think Splitter can't cut it.

    Bill Cartwright
    Will Perdue
    Stacey King
    Scott Williams
    Luc Longley
    Bill Wentington
    Bob Parish

All C's who ringed with MJ, some multiple.

The Heat have LeBron. Argue if you wish that he ain't MJ, I'm not saying he is. I am saying that, like MJ was, he is the best in NBA at present. For all the bitching about him joining the Heat, LeBron is 1-1 in Champ pursuits and that one loss they were as close as up 13 to take a commanding 3-1 lead before Wade (not Bron) started pre mature ejacking.

Anywho, point being the Heat may well not need an All Star center to title again. More likely it rests on Wades surgery and outcome.

For Splitter, one thing is sure. He's not going to have some silly coach come running off the bench in PMS mode and pull then berate him after one minute of play in a Conference Finals game in which he possibly makes a slight defensive miss.

So, given Splitters already very good play for the Spurs, with continued improvement and a competent playoff caliber coach, how could Splitter do on the Heat next season(s)?

Spo would find a way to keep him on the bench and stubbornly play small ball

shot .750 vs Denver in two games.
Pulled down his consistent very good number of boards.
    Solid D.

Spol is not a PMSy 5 straight going-on-6 loser playoffs coach.
    Splitter would play.

Splitter is a liability on offense with anything other than the pick and roll. He would not be included in the Heat's offensive scheme because they don't need him to be. While he was on the floor, he would be intentionally fouled to slow the game and because he shoots shitty from the line.

He's not athletic enough for their offense, and his D isn't that great either. Probably sits for the small lineup they just rang with.
