Would rather have Vasquez, Lopez for half the cost, and use CAP elsewhere.

    Weird deal.

Nah, the team wanted to get rid of guys who had lead in their feet. I'm happy to see Vazquez and Lopez gone, especially Vasquez. Lopez was solid last year, but they must have really liked Evans potential. They still have plenty of cap room to sign a SF and a center. The plan at the end of games will be to have Davis and Anderson spread the floor for Evans, Gordon, and Holiday. Should be fun to watch.

Evans at the 3? Hmm... and why did you wanted to see Vazquez gone, i thought he was pretty good and still can get better.

Slow as , inconsistent shooter and plays no defense at all. Basically an assist and that's it. That's why they got Holiday. Upgrade in every way.

I don't think Evans will start at the 3, but he and Gordon will be in the game together late. Possible Evans will be the 6th man right now.

Fair enough, in the games i saw from the Hornets/Pelicans he looked pretty good.

Holiday is a better overall player than him, no question. But with Evans/Gordon/Holiday in at the end of games Evans has to play the 3, don't know if that works out well.

It will work well with Anderson at the 4 and Davis at the 5 since they can shoot from the perimeter and open the lane for Evans, Gordon, and Holiday. Defense will be a concern, but Evans has potential since he has a 7 FT wingspan. He's not any smaller than Iggy who defends SFs well. Evans needs to improve and I think he will. He's not gonna start most likely, but will finish games. He will have a Harden/Manu like role off the bench.

For sure. You guys needed a real center badly. Although the Blazers have a lot of glaring needs this certainly is a nice addition.

I think Withey has more upside than Lopez long-term, but Lopez is definitely a solid center right now. Efficient offensively, solid shot blocker. His rebounding and help defense suck overall, but he provides a big body next to LA. However, for the Pelicans, I like Withey's defense and rebounding long-term next to all the young pieces.

The Blazers must have been wowed by how well his knees bend in that gif.
