I've been saying it for years. The Spurs know the future of the league is Pure Versatility, Positionless, All length and mobility lineups.

6'8 height 7'2 wingspan player who has PG skills. That's the future.

Daye Leonard Green Anderson Livio Bertans.

    Period.
Daye is a scrub. Not worth mentioning.

We just destroyed the ing Heat with the least athletic team in the NBA. Chill the out. Dude is a high IQ passer and is still relatively young. He can be molded into a very solid player imo. Maybe not an all star but the Spurs don't need him to be. ing people acting like we blew a lottery pick. It's the 30th ing pick. Chill.

Diaw seems to do OK despite moving in molasses.
Diaw is smooth like butter when he wants to be and very uhm...I guess nifty is the word. When Boris is able to actually decide what he wants to do, he may not be fast about it, but he is on time. I look at Kyle and see slow feet with a slow release.

He's a Spur so I'm automatically rooting for him, but I am not excited.

he's a knockdown shooter, but his release is a bit slow. maybe chip can expedite his delivery. he was accurate but didn't really attempt a lot, less than 2 attempts per game. i know his skillset is being a ball handler, but on a team with duncan, parker, manu, kawhi, diaw he's not going to be controlling the ball . he needs to establish the jumper first and play off of that, sort of like what we saw with marco in the regular season.

the high% plus the improvement we saw in kawhi gives me hope he can do that

    This.

I was expecting a draft and stash pick. He probably won't contribute right away, but this is a Spurs like pick-up.

    What a terrible take.
what's the point of these threads if I can't be an armchair GM? We'll see, I expect this thread to be bumped many times if Anderson develops into a legit NBA player.

Pierce and Diaw were very athletic... Anderson isn't even in the same league.

I was really glad to see this as the pick. Dunno how they're gonna go to Europe, though.

he's not going to be controlling the ball early on with this spurs team, so at this point chip needs to get him to expedite his release. the rest will develop over time. with our roster, he's pretty much never going to be asked to run the point like he did at UCLA

People complaining... get over it. He was the 30th overall pick. it was either this or a Euro-stash that you wouldn't see for at least a couple years, if at all. At least this kid is skilled and has a chance to be molded and tutored by Diaw and Duncan. He could be Diaw 2.0 in a few years, who knows? He's only 20. Solid pick imo.

At #30 you can't go wrong with a guy like Anderson. If he develops into Diaw 2.0 you've hit a homer, if he fails to develop it was only a #30 pick.

Love it, typical Spurs steal. I think this kid will be very useful in a few years.

Except you passed on the most athletic wing in the draft.
