Couldn’t expect to sweep the Astros, or even go up 3-0. But considering how streaky and delicate the Rangers are, this game sucks because one mis-step could completely derail them. Not to mention the curse of Andy.

A backdoor sweep is highly likely.
Say brother. The Rangers have the best chance since the 2018 Red Sox to knock off the Astros. Yall just have to win two.

yeah this series is impossible to predict with how ridiculously inconsistent/streaky both teams and players are. Jesus Christ. Astros are the defending champs but can't win at home, and got dad- ed by the A's and Royals multiple times this season. Rangers went from looking like a Top 3 team in baseball to looking like the 2003 Detroit Tigers for almost a whole month. Then you have Kyle Tucker/Corey Seager who go from MVP candidates to looking like Single A players. Rangers bullpen sucks but now it's elite...and the Astros pitcher tonight who goes from average regular season player only to regularly turn into the black Nolan Ryan in the postseason, Framber as well is all over the place how the f*ck can anybody accurately pick a winner between these two?

Ok the more I think about this series, the more I think this will be another Dulla$$/South Oklahoma sports team collapse.

Just too much dead weight that Bochy has to work around. We have no reliable fourth starter, bullpen could regress to the mean at any point, our half a billion dollar middle infield has completely disappeared and we’re leaning too heavily on Montgomery/Eovaldi…even though the Astros have been up and down this season, they’re still even keel and pretty much anybody in their lineup is capable of getting the big hit when needed. The South Oklahoma/Southwestern Arkansas/Eastern New Mexico Rangers are leaning on just a handful of guys to keep carrying the team. Don’t see it as sustainable tbh

Also, why the f*ck is Alvarez not a perennial MVP? Literally never heard of this guy until three weeks ago but apparently he’s Barry Bonds 2.0

A lot of folks in the Astros lineup have been underperforming for a while now. 2 games is still better than having to win 3. Rangers’ lineup is absolutely solid.

yupp, Astros had a lot of balls hit hard/to the warning track in games 1 & 2...now their hits are starting to fall. If Semien/Seager don't wake up quick, this sh!t is over tbh imho

The Rangers will still find a way to get it done. I mean a 2-2 split considering Houston started out with HFA, all told, isn't the worst case scenario. Just gotta win game 5.

If the series trend continues, the Rangers have the advantage. They still have 2 road games, where the Astros only have 1.

It boggles my mind at how dominant the Astros are on the road, but absolutely pedestrian at home.

    Go Astros

Houston was still close to taking both games 1 and 2. A lot of warning track balls, hard hit outs, and both games the Rangers had to get out of multiple bases loaded jams. All that to barely hold onto a 2 and 1 run victory. At this point the momentum has completely shifted and when the Rangers start slumping, man have they looked bad this season. Not even trying to reverse jinx, but if I had to put money on it I fully expect a backdoor sweep

Seems like they’re on life support at this point tbh
