Yeah, I support River Plate, one of the biggest teams in the history of the sport (way bigger than Arsenal, tbh) and no, I don't give a about them being feeder teams 'cause they usually are still good enough to compete for championships on the National and Continental stages. Same thing with the National Team, I enter every tournament with aspirations of winning it all. And even if they weren't contenders I would still don't give a 'cause I was born a River Plate fan, it wasn't something I chose because of the coulour of the shirt or the numbers of trophies won, my dad made me a River Plate fan and I was raised loving them almost as much as I love my family and when you have that kind of feeling for something you don't care what it does, you're just glad that it exists.
I don't know if Valdes is the best Barca goalkeeper in their history, because i haven't followed them for so long (they've been around for 100 years, who has?), but i know that he's the best goalie they had in the last 20 years.
And i don't care if Özil is "the best player in the world" at whatever position he plays, i'm just glad we got him.
No people who support their club no matter what or who play for them or how they play are the lowest form of fan. Those are the people who don't care about the game, they just want to belong.
