This kid likes to move.
kid's parents are looking for as much exposure for him as possible. when he found out that he would not start at steele this coming year, he moved to seguin but the plan was probably to get an IMG offer at some point.

TE Luke Ford (Carterville, IL)
He tells Inside Texas he'll be visiting UT in July and I'm guessing that will be for the Friday night camp on the 21st.
CB JayVeon Cardwell (Cibolo Steele)

Does he not already have a crap load of offers?
It just seems like these kind of kids are all out for themselves and don't stick with teammates and friends. Did he go to middle school with the Steele kids? Part of HS is making friends in and outside of athletics and sticking with them imo. If he has constantly moved with a military family its more understandable.
Per Inside Texas, OL Jarrett Patterson of Mission Viejo, CA will make an unofficial visit to UT in July.

he did, but it was more about his family insisting he get a lot of PT. his brother and sister both went to steele as well. but i guess his pops couldn't handle that his kid, despite all his offers, was not going to start because of who was ahead of him at the safety position. there was no way this kid was going to take the position away from UT commit Caden Sterns or even from the other safety, and Baylor commit, JT Woods. Steele has a loaded secondary (they all have D1 offers) and Cavazos had leadership and technique concerns. The irony is that he will still sit on the bench at the IMG academy.
Looks like Herman may have added an illustrator to the graphics team.
24/7 reporting WR Al'vonte Woodard will be back in Austin for the July 21st camp.
Good news for UT since his decision comes on July 15th.
