I know many of you don't like to go based off ESPN 300 rankings but we have most in the country at 14. I mention this mostly because it's crazy to think we lost 2 awhile back in Justin Watkins and the DE out of Oklahoma I forget his name... We'd be much further ahead anyways just found it interesting.
This. Lots on here have the same sentiment. We want to win, but not at the expense of our Longhorn soul... There should be a limit to the price paid.

Look at our record of violations compared to what you would consider the top 10 programs in the last half decade. Soul may not be the right word, but this flat out Barry Switzer, Jackie Sherill Nick, Saban ... We have been through some absolutely horrible periods without this blatant cheating.
This is why the Leitao thing is significant IMO. This does not even make a blip on the radar at Alabama. They catch 2 kids (who have already played games and already been in trouble) with guns(one unregistered) and drugs at a park at one in the morning and the judge concludes the arresting officer's findings are incorrect because he wants to give 3-5 chances? I'm out on that. Take your 4 out of the last 8 year les, and shove it Nick. You have a number of UT fans that are very uncomfortable and raise criticism when things are all roses in recruiting. Personally, I like the airing of what might be stinky socks. I was one of the first ones on this board who posted about Cedric Benson being an asshole when people tried to defend him with the overzealous cop thing in his drunk boating. Well guess what...
I wrote about Earl Thomas keeping a dog in his dorm room and getting a hand slap while insulting an exchange student with " do you know who I am" (The dorm RA did not, and did not care who he was when she found out.)
Further, I'm not into the locker/media poster stuff either. But at least it's not cheating, just significantly over the top IMO. Which is why maybe I should not be taken seriously as a fan"atic" ... so forget everything I posted.
No program can control all these hormone ridden giant kids, but at least make the attempt. The Leitao thing is possible a hint into a win at all costs mentality. Not good. And maybe I don't know enough about the situation, if someone does, post it.
