I'm not going to be able to concentrate at work or school at all.
I pray that Manu is okay and this is all just smoke and mirrors.
I was going off of only "Well you need a SG now, and we have a great one here and you obviously are desperate for one"

He must've gotten into a freak accident or something day before yesterday.
When I saw the thread le I prayed it was a thread topic from ages ago that got bumped.
apologies, didn't see that. The posts are coming in pretty fast and furious right now.
That's a lot of CATs.Carter is due $16.3 million next season and $17.3 million in 2010-11
I'm all ed up now. What the , its like a ing soap opera.
cool thanks
Yeah it would brighten things up a tad.
Thats alot for any team.
Let alone a pretty small market team with a thin profit margin.
hmmm
this recent manu proves that I was right and esmegmol was wrong
hope hes ok but WOW this was the most predicable event of the season
I think they've gotten offered Josh Howard for Vince, wich is better than what the Spurs offer IMO.
Or from someone unreliable.
And then I saw it was posted by TimVP today.
And I knew it was for real. And it has me completely freaked out too.
2 p.m. can't come soon enough.
Crap !!
Tie up Holt so that Pop is left no choice but to ask David Robinson whether or not the trade can be approved . . .
This is definetly one of the more interesting trade deadlines that I can remember. My guess is that Manu will be okay, and no trades will be made. I'd be shocked if the spurs were willing to make VC the second highest paid player on the team.
Can we safely say that this might go down as the Spurs franchise's strangest season?
Tie up the other 11 at the same time
And Josh Howard being so much younger and I'm thinking he's not expensive.
living in NY, I can tell you that nobody goes to Nets games..it's even worse than you see in the crowds, because a lot of the tickets are given away..it's an unattractive location, not a big sports state..
I would be surprised if the Nets are still in Jersey in a few years..they won't be in Brooklyn though..
If the Spurs were truly looking to set themselves up for 2010, taking on a player like Carter before that time may not be such a bad deal. Free agency is definitely a mirage for the Spurs, especially with respect to top tier FAs. It would seem a bit wiser to use that cap flexibility in a trade. And it's not like the Big 3 are getting any younger.
Of course, do we realistically see Peter Holt paying 4 players $60 mil per and giving up the lux tax rebate?
Are you f****** kidding me?
We know nothing about this here.
Yes, a team that is moving to Brooklyn, right down the road from the site of the Twin Towers, would love to have a ass thug who hates the Star Spangled Banner as the face of its franchise.
I think the LaFrentz (expiring contract) and Outlaw is the best deal they are being offered for VC.
This is not a CIA Pop move. Even he has his limits. And to me this would be so extreme. Just start throwing away games in the middle of the season to accomplish what? Not having to talk about Manu in trade talks. Thats way too hard to imagine.
I truly believe Manu is hurt, and we will prolly stand pat at the trade deadline and not screw up our 2010 plan.
