Coz Danny Green's been stinking up again. Might as well go for some guy who can shoot the 3 and drive
I like Hollis as a SG here. Very good length. Could be a 3&D type player. Is more well rounded offensively than danny green

Spurs play tonight at 8 p.m. CST on ESPNU
Is the game still on? Where I can watch it?
Garino having a nice all around game tonight.
Gosh..I know I'm getting old...watched a lot of the Austin Toro's game last night...a surreal experience watching James Silas's son play ball..even looks a lot like him..have to wish the best for him..
DeJuan BLAIR is playing for the Texas against Austin right now... just got dunked on by Cory JEFFERSON
Not nearly as pathetic as a 35 YO Antonio Daniels playing for the Texans a few years ago.
Hope the Spurs sign Thompson.
What's his D like?
Above average
Thompson has been an NBA player for three years. People have a hard time telling the difference between NBA and NBADL levels of compe ion sometimes, but it's a massive gap. Even NBA scrubs can and usually do dominate in the d-league. That's not to attack Hollis, as I think he should have a chance to make a roster this season. But don't go by this tape to judge him (he has plenty of time with Philly do to that). A lot of that in-between stuff simply isn't going to be there in the big league.
His release off the catch looks quite good, quick and very compact. I hope he gets a chance when Anthony's contract is up.
6'8" SF.... nice size... sign him! http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/...Thompson-5823/
Heh I was more impressed in those highlights by Cory Jefferson than Thompson. Jefferson is probably very undersized for the game h has but overall seems to have a higher motor and rebounds better.
The Spurs already have a better player in that role (David Lee).
For this season.
Pato Garino had 26 points today, and a couple of blocks.
Cory Jefferson with 18 points and 14 boards.
And Forbes put up 22 points.
It's a shame those kinds of numbers don't translate into the NBA.
It's just a lot easier to score. There are no rim protectors and the talent is much inferior, specially the size/length of talent... only thing is if Forbes wasn't scoring there like Arci and Pato most of the time, then it's a concern but plenty of dleague players have made it into the league in recent seasons... Teams just have to tKe a flier on guys and see what's there.
BTW glad to see Garino is flourishing lately.
