You and about 4 others - I just misread it, not sure how. Either way, it sucks.

True it makes no sense why he would just be saying that. I see no motive.
To what end? How would rumors about a season-ending injury to Manu give them more leverage in a trade?
Thanks for the update. I really hope that it's not that savere and my prayers and hopes are with Manu.
That being said, I honestly think it's time the spurs to have to look for another player to make up the big 3 (not meaning trading Manu of course becuase he is injured) but can we really put all faith in the hopes that Manu will be healthy every year from now on and risk each seaon?
The VC deal is actually looking realy good now. I was like WTF this fits non of our needs and is not worth loosing players for but now...

Agreed. Trade deadline time is the time for CIA Pop to be at its peak. I hope this talk is dead wrong.
I really, really hope.
last time i heard something like this, it was when Nugget's fans found out Nene had testicular cancer
Hopefully Manu's 'injury' is just that and not an illness
A western team now won't feel bad about trading....Ron Artest? Marcus Camby? Who knows. I doubt this is CIA .
I would say the at ude would be "Carter or bust" "copyright TIMVP"
Get well soon Manu
If Manu is indeed out for the season then I think you become more flexible with trades. TD is 33 this year. TP is 27. While Duncan could arguably play until he's near 40, I doubt he wants to. This is the window. We saw last season that this team needs a penetrator/scoring wing like Manu and that the rest of the league has caught up with the Spurs and/or passed them by...at full strength.
The future is now, more or less.
I doubt it. We were due for a situation like this.
Soooooo WTF happened??? Did I miss something.......When did he in hurt himself???
And if he is seriously hurt....Than the VC trade is a no brainer.
Trade for VC and sign Pops
The San Antonio Spurs’ delay to release any specific information about Manu Ginobili’s right ankle injury has led some opposing GMs to speculate that the injury could be serious. Delaying the announcement until after the Thursday trade deadline would help keep the Spurs from losing any leverage in their ongoing talks.
Spurs officials announced only that Ginobili won’t join them on their road trip and their medical staff continues to study test results on Ginobili’s ankle.

If its not just a "sore ankle", do you know what it is? I mean is his ankle in really bad shape or is it something else?
spurs could have landed carter
I should have held out a week before paying for the half season of league pass...worst purchase ever.
I'm trying to think of a motive but I just can't piece one together. The only thing I can think of is that teams are asking for Manu so by saying Manu is out for the season, teams won't pressure the Spurs for him.
But that's a gargantuan stretch and makes little sense.
thats exactly where my mind went...
That possibility may explain Tony Parker's fazed look throughout the entire game last night. Maybe the rest of the team already knows...
Then it would probably be broke.
they still can
If it's serious Tim & Tony will not be able to do it alone...Now is the time to make some trade!
