Apparently this was conceived as one long do entary (900 minutes), but it's presented on Netflix as fifteen one-hour episodes, each thematically and/or chronologically organized. It's narrated by its director, an Irish film critic, and so far the narration is a bit... odd to listen to, but he provides a very interesting look at cinema. I find myself appreciating what he has to say even during the times I don't necessarily agree with his point or how it's being made. Perhaps most interesting about this do entary, compared to other film/film history do entaries I've watched, is that there is a very strong and intentional desire to avoid looking solely at cinema in the Western world or through a Hollywood-centric point of view. I haven't watched all of the episodes yet, so I can't speak to their success, but I've thoroughly enjoyed what I've watched so far and imagine other movie nerds will, as well.
Started it last night. Even made me want to see a few of the movies they showed in there.
It took Netflix to remind me of all the movies I've seen. It takes me so long to find something new to me (don't even bother with the TV stuff) I end up getting....sorry but we can't.....all the time.
So what is a must see?
American Gangster being a great movie.

Burzynski was very very good do entary about a cancer doctor/scientist in Houston. How the Goverment tried to shut him down because he had a 20% cure rate on cancer vs 5% with the normal expensive Chemo treatments. Conspiracy Theorist will love this. Personally, i wish i had seen this before my sis past a while back with her cancer.

Yes, I had my doubts about the movie realy did expect to dump it after 20 minutes or so, but it turned out pretty damn good which surprised me. The fight scenes were incredible.

After a solid 10 minutes of searching, it was.... it. I expected the movie to suck like I mentioned, damn if it didn't keep my attention. I actually went from laying down on the couch to sitting on the edge. Good flick~~~~

Rather than assuming you're too thick to locate the le of this movie in the "recently viewed" section of your Netflix account, I'm instead going to assume this entire scenario exists only as a figment of your imagination.

I have no idea why this has gone under the radar.
Best TV animation I have ever seen. By far. Might be the best I've seen anywhere.
Decent storylines, Elijah Wood, Mandy Moore, Paul lol Reubens and even original Tron: Bruce Boxleitner lend their voices as regular characters while Jeff Bridges makes cameos here and there.
Matrix, Star Wars, Mask of Zorro, Hunger Games all rolled into one
Can't wait for season 2.

The trick with Netflix is to start a bunch of movies from the different categories. Just start them, that will get you a...
If you watched African Queen....then all those movies similiar,
if you watched Dracula...then...........
But, it still takes 10 minutes sometimes to find something and that's with a couple legit movies you dumped after five minutes.
You make life so much more difficult than it has to be for you.
Just go to netflix.com and arange the genre that you like most.

I actually didn't plan it out that way, I just started so many movies got 5 minutes into it and....this sucks. Then as we know.....because you watched.....then here came all those movie choices.
