Total Recall: 7/10 ...expected to hate it, ended up enjoying it for the most part.
Pitch Perfect: 5/10 ...half the time, it was agonizingly cheesy, like Glee w/ a bigger budget; the other half, I'll admit, made me wanna sing (better songs, mindjoo, but sing nonetheless)
Tell No One 7/10
The Devil Strikes At Night - 1957
(original le, Nachts, wenn der Teufel kam) German
A serial killer terrorizes Hamburg, Germany, during World War II. When the local police can't seem to catch him, the SS is brought into the case.
Fascinating movie that jumbles together a crime thriller in the context of Nazi Germany. Great performances and a thoughtful script. Excellent film.
9/10
Directed by Robert Siodmack, a film pioneer who fled Nazi Germany to Hollywood where he directed such film noir classics as The Killers, The Spiral Staircase & Criss Cross.

Flight 7/10
The ending was rather pointless imo. So he was a drunk and a coke head all his life, tried to impede and even fault the crash on a plane part malfunction then he grows a conscience on the final moments of getting off on the charges.
It just doesn't seem feasible that a person with so much baggage would just own up cold turkey like that. Abit unrealistic, but hey its a movie afterall
Just saw Django Unchained. Very good, but very long. 8.0/10
Scrooge - 1970
Always my favorite version of The Christmas Carol
9/10
Lincoln - 7.5/10
Django Unchained - 8/10
Both very long.
Jack Reacher 9/10 Awesome! Tom Cruise is a badass.
Footloose 2011 - 5/10
watchable only because of the hotness of Julianne Hough and the absurdity of the movie.
Trouble With The Curve - 7/10
not bad...didn't beat or fall short of expectations
War of the Arrows 5/10
Boriiiiiing
I dont know why Chinese,Korean and Japanese movie makers think its a good idea to make movies so unrealistic it defies even the most simple logic.
There was a part in this movie where there was a cliff and they needed to cross it. Only problem was that the other side was like 35 something feet away and if that wasn't enough when each guy jumped he like stabilized mid air as if he was flying an invisible ship.
The Truman Show replay 8/10.
Very good. I'd tweak a few things like show him meeting up in end with the one and only truthful loyal person in his life, potential girlfriend Lauren / Sylvia played by Natascha McElhone.
4 Brothers 0/10 for the 15 minutes i was forced to watch.
More gagging pretentiousness from Mark Wahlberg as an alleged tough boi.
An Unexpected Journey
First viewing - 7.3/10
Second Viewing - 6.9/10
Third Viewing - 6.5/10
Personally, I'd rename this "An Unexpected Disappointment". I can't go back. I keep finding I don't like
Why would you watch a movie you think its dissapointed multiple times?
I dont watch movies I like mire than twice in a span of weeks tbh
I'm that big a Tolkien fan I suppose. I also realize my tendency for bias and thus decided to give this a few tries before rendering judgement.
It was replayed here too, I'd never seen it. Good film
Les Miserables 9/10. Perfectly cast. Hathaway was unexpectedly great as Fantine and SBC was made for Thenardier. Glad they kept the ALW music as well.
Les Mis 7.5/10. Enjoyed most of it but Russell Crowe (acting, 9.0/singing 2.0) can't warble his way out of a paper bag. Also why did so many "french" have English accents?
This is 40 - 7/10
Many hilarious, laugh-out-loud moments; dialogue was funny and expected of an Apatow film. Movie predictably lacked substance and dragged on a little too long.
The Dark Knight Rises 3/10 sucked balls actually (fell asleep 5-6 times -long ass boringloudtediousendoftheworldsavetheworldendofthe worldherowillsaveyouherowontherowilldieherowontdie blah-blah-blah)
The Words 6/10 Some good writing and some almost good writing
Arbitrage 7/10 Not too bad
Killer Joe 2/10 Heart-warming family love story
Liberal Arts 7.9/10 Good writing and good style and vibe
Lincoln 7/10
An ok movie but very long and boring factor is high.
I'm not a big movie fanatic, so I usually don't watch till it comes out on Netflix, or Bluray. My daughter bought me The Expendables II for Xmas. I hadn't seem #1 yet, but it was on Netflix. A pretty sorry ass movie in my view. They did decent on the graphics, but the plot was weak. The best part was Schwarzenegger doing a bit part, and being the smart guy not to take the assignment. I guess if someone is only interested in lost of fiery stuff, lots of gunfire, destruction, etc...
3/10.
Those movies aren't meant to be great or collection worthy. Its just a flick you just see because its on or to kill time.
In the first movie, Arnold only made a cameo because he was involved in politics and couldn't commit to the full shooting of the movie.
He's in the second one as is Bruce Willis as participants.
