Which is to say that he's been less than optimal, granted all MMA fighters go into fights with some form of injury but not like an intestinal thing like Brock had apparently been functioning with until it caused him to faint.

I think the biggest detraction from Carwin's training will be that he still holds a regular job (last I heard, anyway). look at Forrest Griffin, if you took a picture of his face after a fight and let people guess if he won the fight, you would always assume he lost the fight.
He got hit with a lot of nasty elbows from the bottom. Watching it back i really saw that.. Some guys also bruise and bleed real easy.. You blow on Forrest and he is bleeding..

We are yet to see him against a strong, pure wrestler. A fight vs Cain would tell us alot. I think he has just as good of a chance on the feet as Carwin did. Im not sure what he can do off his back or how is cardio is. But usually good things will happen when you train with Nog, Anderson, and Machida. Still, I dont think he is ready for Lesnar. 2 more fights..
