Yeah...Barcelona would struggle in the EPL, except when they play the best team in the league by far, in which case they slaughter. Against the rest of the inferior teams they would struggle though.

more like 30 mins... you give him the full game and he'll tore them 6 new assholes instead of 2. Especially the way the other s were missing chances in the first half.

It's premature to Kun in your pants about him, because it was one of the weaker teams, but the no-foul, faster-pace favors him. The dude is pretty consistent too: 120 goals in 272 games is nothing to sneeze at, and he's only 23.

Geez, no one can say I'm bandwagoning on the Arsenal train with a team in such turmoil. Wegner is being investigated by UEFA, Song is suspended for three games while Nasri and Van Persie are also suspended and yet I still haven't mentioned the Cesc saga and the injuries. Crazy stuff.

Mertesacker was the best German CB a couple of years ago. Recently, he has seldomly played up to his potential though and has been hampered by injuries.
He is entering the final year of his contract, and with his club Bremen having financial difficulties, they might very well be willing to sell him (they don't have a lot of players who are interesting to other clubs anyway).
If he can somehow return to old form, Merte would be a good addition for Arsenal - he definitely is better than any current CB they have (except for Vermaelen).

Arsenal need to strengthen their midfield, not enough balls are coming to their attackers. Liverpool will no doubt put extra pressure on Arsenal defense by bringing in Suarez.
