The game is supposed to be on FSSW live (although they describe it as a hockey game).
Spurs play tonight at 7:30

There's no way spurs wouldn't be better with KJ and Luka taking the place of Forbes and Gay in the rotation. Sucks Po will never play rookies. Meanwhile Spoelstra has an undrafted rook and a mid first round took playing big roles in a good team. Pop is such an idiot
The Spurs would not be better with Luka instead of Gay, you’re smoking some good stuff tbh.
luka isn't close tbh...
Ok maybe not. But Gay has been pretty terrible. But I guarantee Spurs would be better with KJ in place of Brent Forms
dont worry in 4-5 years he might become dario saric
Samanic looks really rough.
Lawson looks like a role player at the very most.
I've been saying since preseason that I thought Spoon could replace Forbes. He's got a solid shooting stroke. Forbes' is exceptional, but Spoon is solid and has a killer instinct that Forbes always lacked. But Quinn's defense is already better than Forbes, and would only get better with reps in SA. Since Pop is giving Forbes minutes over Lonnie, I know there's no chance that he'd give minutes to Spoon, but maybe the next coach will.
Meanwhile, Walt Lemon had 28 points and 7 AST tonight for Fort Wayne. I know it's G-League, but I'm sticking with what I've said for a long time now. The SA Spurs would get better if they brought him in as a backup PG. Put him, Lonnie, and Poeltl on the floor together, and our bench would be nasty. Nasty, I tell ya.
All for the price of a couple of min contracts.
Let me see if I can recall the Dedric Lawson Story. I'm sure someone will correct me if a few details aren't right:
When he was a junior in high school, he committed to go play for Memphis in college (when he graduated). That summer, the Memphis coach hired Dedric's dad as an assistant. Dedric somehow got out of his senior year of high school, and went to play for Memphis. Dedric played pretty well, especially for a high school senior, but suffered an injury. But he did that semi-declare thing where he went to the combine with the option of bailing and going back to college. He looked like absolute dog at the combine, and Draft XPress called him "the worst athlete at the combine".
He went back to Memphis for a year, but then left to play for... anyone?...anyone?...Bueller? He went to play at Kansas for Bill Self. Some of you may have heard of him.
I always pull for a guy to get his together and make it at the next level. But Dedric Lawson has a bunch of baggage, and a lot of reasons to have low expectations. (There's a lot more that I'm leaving out.) Maybe if Pop retires and Self takes over, he can become the new Bryn Forbes.
Keldon and Quinn both have NBA bodies. They're strong, and can withstand contact without turning into human pinwheels. That's one of Bryn's big problems - if he gets any kind of serious ball pressure, he's done. It's a quality that doesn't get talked about much, but I'm convinced that it's one of the things that keeps a lot of G-League players from being able to make it at the NBA level. They run into NBA defenders and start looking like deer in the headlights, and the never recover.
I haven't been able to watch them live this year, but I've watched quite a bit of film. If anything, they look stronger than they did in the summer.
Forbes should be the 12th man. Can't wait to see Quinndary, Lonnie, and Keldon take his place.
Go for the money, Bryn. Leave SA.

Keldon is a ing steal for this dog mentality alone. I get hyped up whenever I watch this dude play and I'm not even his teammate. The fire this kid will bring to this lifeless Spur team will be 99999% valuable.
I’ve been real impressed by Keldon so far this season, still puzzled with Luka. He has skill but I don’t think he will ever translate to the nba, I hope I’m wrong tho
If you mean in Austin I agree.
Lonnie and Keldon will be fun to watch on the court together. Both players bringing high energy
I’m loving this kid so far. God damn he has a motor on him.
Yeah Keldon was a steal I still have no idea why anyone thought he was not the steal of the draft to be honest. As far as Luka he was drafted on potential so he is easily 2 or 3 years away add that he is a big which usually takes a little longer to develop so Keldon will/should be getting minutes with the main club and Luka will be the focus in G League next season.
I maybe overrating him lol but I see some Andre Iguodala in Keldons game, now he may not reach that level but he competes really hard, and he’s pretty solid offensively overall
What the are you even talking about?
I was talking about Bryn. When he puts the ball on the floor, it's a ing disaster if anyone moves to closely guard him. That's what ball pressure means. And if they bump him a bit, he can't recover. It doesn't happen to him very much now, because they don't let him handle the ball much anymore.Sean even commented on it during the last game, when Bryn brought the ball up the floor one time. It's a disaster more often than not.
And what the are you talking about double and triple teams? Did I say anything about double and triple teams? It doesn't take any double or triple teams to stop Bryn. , just one guy going after him and he'll give up his dribble and then start looking for someplace to dump the ball. Did you think I was talking about someone else? Do you think that "ball pressure" automatically means a double or triple team? I don't even know where to go with your line of argument.
Keldon and Weatherspoon easily better than Marco and Forbes now. QW even helps White move up to SG, better defender, rebounder and motor
What does Samanic do that's good enough to eventually be a regular, heavy rotation player?
He's not a shooting specialist, not even close to Bertans. Never has been.
He's not a volume scorer. And even those at his size aren't typically very successful unless they can really fill it up. Lyles has put up decent stats when given enough minutes and touches but nobody was looking to give him big minutes, not even the desperate, spurned Spurs. Samanic isn't Carmelo, and I doubt he's Rudy Gay. Looks leagues below Michael Porter Jr, and he should considering how highly regarded Porter was out of high school.
Decent enough passer, but he's galaxies away from being Luka Doncic. Samanic is probably never going to warrant so much time with the ball to be a primary or secondary playmaker. Don't even expect him to be a tertiary playmaker. Turns the ball over so much I don't know if he'd be helping the team trying to make plays.
He's good against lower level compe ion driving to the rim with his first step, strides, behind the back dribbles and spins. Is that going to get him the ball at a high enough usage and generate points at high enough efficiency for those moves to really matter, if they even translate against NBA size and speed?
Decent feet on defense when he's not tired or lazy but zero wingspan limits his ability to dominate defensively. He may not end up as a minus defender but will he be a plus guy? Or even good enough like an Aminu at his size?
The hope is that he gets stronger and heavier and more gas in the tank. Let's say that happens: he gets a lot stronger and better conditioned. Is that so good that he'd be more than a change of pace hustle player?
Totally agree with that
Imo samanic needs to develop a better focus, effort to the game...
He also needs to have a better BB IQ, i Hope he will Be good but he has a looong way to go
Scouts in europe were right about him, the tools are there but he is far from effective now.
