Sad news to hear but grateful for the entire experience! He is the greatest example of teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship. Tim Duncan is an ambassador for basketball of unparalleled greatness!
One thing I always tell people about Tim is that he's one of the most clutch big men of all time. Most of them were chokers with the game on the line.
Not Shaq, Not Hakeem, Not D-Rob, Not Karl Malone, none of them were great in crunch time. I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts on big men that were clutch.
I thought, I was prepard for that, but now I'm weeping like I only did in 2014 when we won and when my father died in 2011.
simply the best, we salute you.
Simply the best...
I wont say that Hakeem was not clutch.
But he definitely was more clutch than Shaq/drob/Malone.
duncan wasnt even a 3 point shooter but could hit them in the clutch.
Or when he sucked at FT's he (unlike shaq) made them when they counted ....because shaq played hot potato with it late in games.
Without Tim, we are the OKC Thunder. We lose all of our own FAs and couldn't attract a soul. We are blessed in this city. Should be a lot of fun watching all the videos and tributes to come.
can someone bump the "till the wheels fall off" thread?
