With 3 of their rotation players stuck in China until March with contracts they can't get out of (Kenyon Martin, Wilson Chandler, and the now-injured J.R. Smith), where do you see the Nuggets finishing this year in the West?

I had them making the WCSF before realizing all their players were tied up...I'll replace them with the Blazers or Grizz.

Neither JR or Kmart were coming back anyway, thank goodness.

Chandler was also a FA and he was horrible in the playoffs last year.

    It'll be Lawson/Afflalo/Gallo/nene/mozgov

With Dre/Birdman/Forbes/faried/koufos/Hamilton on the bench. Hopefully Harrington gets cut and hopefully Nene resigns with the Nuggs

Current salary is 28.8 million for Denver. They need to resign Nene and pick up some players. To early to say.

Can't wait till teams are allowed to start trading and signing players. It should be a enjoyable frenzy.

I could see the Nuggets going after a Marc Gasol to put next to Nene with all that cap room. He'd give them a scary starting lineup, with Miller and Birdman coming off the bench.

Denver would have to be one of the few teams Gasol would consider, sicne they are good enough to make the playoffs.

time for the Nuggets to clean up their team and give the fans a team they can be proud to cheer for. Melo, Kenyon Martin, and JR Smith are three of the worst (and arguably the worst) players representing the entire NBA right now and Denver had all three of them on their team. Its players like that who hurt the entire NBA when it comes to trying to attract more fans. who wants to spend money on tickets to cheer for hood rats like that?

They were an overrated team last year. They played way over their heads and got their pushed in in a 5 game sweep. They have no superstar which automatically takes them out of any elite conversation. They MIGHT make it as a bottom seed where they will lose in 5 or get swept.

Please stop with the "scary" talk. Marc Gasol isn't a superstar. That move doesn't improve them all that much. Just another role player.

BR is right. though talented and maybe even nice guys in the community those type of guys scare middle and corporate america. It's not the tatts but they need to slow downthe thug nation they have going on there ...

The cheap shots at Dirk though effective is exactly the type of stuff the feeds negativity towards the NBA ...

Marc Gasol isn't a role player any more than Pau Gasol is a role player.

Role player, all star it all means the same thing at the end of the day...they won't lead you to a championship.

pau is better but Marc impacts the game defensively more ...either way Pau is a an all-star and former ROY ...his brother is proven to be neither. good player though and solid starter not a "star" but with the lack of quality bigs much like with Bynum, Bogut and Nene their value is "inflated" ..

Last playoffs id rather had Marc though ...any other year the clear choice is Pau ...

No one said Marc Gasol would lead them to a championship. But adding Marc Gasol to a starting lineup of Lawson/Afflalo/Gallinari/Nene would make the Nuggets a much improved team. Possibly put them in contention for a Top 4 playoff seed in the West. Not bad for a team that was supposed to lottery bound after trading away their "superstar" player last season.

They have the cash to throw at Marc, who might like his chances in Denver better than Memphis where he competes with Randolph, Gay, and Mayo (among others) for touches.

Nene just might be athletic enough to make that line-up with two centers work. Marc also makes it work because he can shoot the ball pretty well. I think that team would be pretty big threat to beat anybody. Size,Shooters,Speed on that that team. A solid coach. I know they've been a deep team and they will need to stay pretty deep IMO because they lack a superstar.

Nene played PF back when Camby was the center, so he's got experience at that position.
