EVH for the thread closer!
Eric Johnson is easily better than anyone in this thread besides Hendrix and Gilmour
As somebody already posted in this thread, David Gilmour comfortably numb hands down.
I'm not going to say these are better than what you posted Mouse, but I love watching the amazing, "no-name" guitar players out there who make these crazy videos in their bedrooms. This dude totally ripping Mr. Crowley:
331ERock is a maniac, and a star in his own right. So many good videos. Always looks like he's having fun while he plays too. He throws in a lot of homages to his influences. Guitar nerds like myself can spot the Yngwie solo from Rising Force in this one:
Time to raise the bar....
That would have been me, and I comfortably agree!
Incredibly smooth and slick, every note counts!

Let's not forget Jeff Beck or Eric Clapton!
"Play like you just heard your mama died."
awesome stuff... while rainbow in the dark is probably his most remembered work, i always thought Holy Diver was just as good. as for the solo, it isn't as intense with the shredding, much its much cleaner
but at the same time its hard to argue with OP, rock bottom might be my favorite solo from a studio version perspective
or just -insert a yngwie solo-
facing the animal was a great album... the solo from the le song or bravehheart is up there with just about anything
And disregarding the fact that blacks disowned Hendrix for decades.
Steven Stevens of Billy Idol
Trippy acoustic version:
When did the "blacks' ever "owned" him or anything else in the first place?
Sorry to have to do this but (as Michale Vick would say) its time to bring out the big dogs.....
300/365 mark
