The worst part of losing the SB was Champ going out in that way, tbh..he's my favorite player of all-time, sad to see him go, although it was expected..
He's still useful as a nickel corner IMO, but he can't stay healthy, that's the main concern..following the SB, he said he would be willing to make the switch to safety IIRC..he has always been a terrific tackler and has great instincts, he could still be a starting safety IMO, but he's better suited as a backup player, at this point..
He gave no indications of losing his passion for playing football, so I expect him to land somewhere soon, tbh..
The raiders should bring him in and have the geriatric duo of Woodson and Bailey in the secondary

Elway's methods are signing free agents to 1-2 year deals and draft BPA. I don't agree with that method. Manning has masked his flaws as a terrible GM. Von Miller is the only playmaker on D, but he was a top 5 pick so that doesn't count. He got Julius Thomas, but every GM can nab a steal now and then. Jerry Jones has done it a number of times, and he is an awful GM. The youth excuse is getting old. Elway doesn't know how to build a team, and I am fully convinced of it now. I gave him 3 offseasons to prove it and the only elite players from his tenure is Von Miller. That team is really ed when Manning can't keep his regular season dominance up anymore. Brock Osweiler
Samson Satele was solid as a raiders center. Since Mack is off the market, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him back and moving Wisniewski over to guard. Wiz is a fine center, but his versatility along the line just makes it easier for us to make improvements. We either need to acquire 2 new guards, or bring in a center and a guard.
Although Satele hasn't been with us for two years now. I don't know if his game has fallen off a cliff

Looks like Houston is going to sign Cassel. Not surprising. O'Brien getting his backup situation settled. This also increases the chances Houston takes Clowney...while allowing Cassel, Keenum and the QB drafted fight it out for the starting job.
