Thanks Sir Acelot for all this info. Will any games be broadcast on American cable like ESPN?

France just lost to Finland. I didn't watch the whole game but Lauvergne really struggled to score in the second half.

Not Eurobasket but Garino is tearing up on the Americup. He's playing bullyball defense ala Kawhi and making all kinds of shots on offense. He seems a level above the rest of the field. If he can keep this up he might make it on the NBA afterall.
Do his rights belong to anyone? Or is he a free-agent?

Garbino looked mediocre in the D-League, even worse than Livio. He's better off looking for another career.

    France 84 - 86 Finland

Lauvergne 18 minutes 4 pts, 4 rbs. He was really bad. 2point shots 1/6. Nando de Colo 21 pts and Fournier 25 pts were Frances best players. Boris Diaw 9 pts and 9 rbs. Boris is now HUGE.

On the other hand, Finlands 20 year old (still not physically very strong) 212 cm NBA rookie Markkanen 22 pt at the (stretch) center/pf -position.

, this Joffery guy has got mistake written all over him. The Spurs should be getting rid of Tony Parker via trade and not taking recommendations from him on players to sign.

I hope Kawhi doesn't bolt because of this .

And darn, I was holding out hope that Boris got in better shape and that the Spurs would sign him. Does he just not give a at all? What is wrong with this guy. I wish I had 1/10th of the talent that he has. What a waste, Bobo.

SVG is just working his way down the depth chart. By next decade he'll be overpaying Spurs' 3rd string PGs.

Our frontline is looking really bad this year.

Say what you want about Lee and Deadman - at the very least - they were rotation caliber players and added depth. Lauvergne is a fringe NBA player, LMA is a cancer who can't even post up guards, Gasol is an ancient poor defensive player who burns out in the playoffs, and Kyle and Davis both have a lot of issues at this point in their careers - the former being slow and not very good at any one thing, while the latter can't grab a board to save his life.

The Spurs are going to give up a lot of offensive rebounds and points in the paint this upcoming season.

Thanks for that report. I am expecting a somewhat better Jeff Ayres in Luavergne, basically so long as he's not as TO prone, similar everywhere else which means he's a deep bench player.

I wonder why he chose Tel Aviv. The group stages are played in different cities across Europe and the group in Isreal is the only one that doesn't include a Spurs player (technically there's Sankidze but he is not even on Georgia's roster).

According to a report, San Antonio Spurs' Davis Bertans has suffered a finger injury during Latvia's opening game of EuroBasket 2017 versus Serbia and he did not let him play in Latvia's 92-64 win over Belgium.

Reports go on to say he did not suffer a break after x-rays were conducted and he's not feeling any pain.
    ADVERTISING

"I'm waiting for what the doctor will say, it's hard to say because I have not had the ball in the hands since Friday, but I do not feel pain. We have a morning off, and we will see what we can do. There was a X-ray, nothing broken."
The report goes on to say a Spurs representative will review his injury moving forward.
Bertans finished with 16 points in Latvia's loss to Serbia.
Team Latvia's next game will be Sept. 4 versus Great Britain.
