Here's my top 5
1) Christmas Story
2) Scrooge (1970)
3) Elf
4) Love Actually (yeah...I know)
5) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
I didn't include any of the cartoons.
My favorite of those is probably Year Without a Santa Clause. Mainly because of the Snow Miser / Heat Miser song.
And don't ing throw out Die Hard. Not a Christmas movie.

Gremlins
Christmas Story > all Christmas movies

I like Christmas Vacation but I think it gets overhyped as a must watch.
1. Holiday Inn
2. Die Hard
3. Christmas Story
4. Elf
GTFO with Die Hard. It's not a Christmas movie.
Yeah, that should be on list
1. Christmas Story
2. Bad Santa
3. Mickey's Christmas Carol
4. s a Wonderful Life
I say it is
Love movies but......never warmed up to Christmas flicks, or.....Christmas music. And I love Christmas. I have no idea why I'm like that, it's weird.
As usual...wrong. The movie happened during Christmas, it's not about Christmas at all, ok? I know, confused.
Definitely up there.
There's a really good Broadway adaptation streaming on the PBS site/app/Roku free for another week or so.
Hmm I'll check it out. Who stars in it
I don't care, ok?
You've got this one right. I hear this debate often and I can't believe that people actually consider this a Christmas movie.
I think one piece of evidence is that Die Hard is shown year round on TV. And not run any more frequently during Christmas time.
You never see....in July....a Christmas Carol or Miracle on 34th.
Nope.
Christmas Vacation
Bad Santa
A Christmas Story
The Ref
That's the part of your life you question, child er?
even though that comment has the potential to derail my thread
No order
1. Gremlins
2. Home alone 1/2
3. Christmas Story
4. Bad Santa
5. Jingle all the way
Neverending story
Mac and Me
Jingle All The Way, the one with Sinbad and Ahhnold
I just saw Love Actually. The soft core boob shots were worth the rest of the movie. High five SpursForSix!
It's good (and the 2nd best Vacation movie) but still way inferior to the first Vacation. That's one movie that I could have on an endless loop and probably never tire of it.

I think European Vacation is wildly underrated. The European Culture scene and the part where they visited and stayed with the wrong people in Germany were classic. Or when Clark hit Eric Idle with his car.
Plus Russ gets to 2nd base
