There is no reasonable trade I'd do for Kawhi. It's not like Golden State is going to call offering Curry. Even if he misses the rest of the season the odds he comes back 100% are a lot higher than the odds the Spurs can land another player as good as Kawhi in the next decade.

    this, this, this

trading kawhi is essentially guaranteeing we aren't competing for the next half decade (probably more). keeping kawhi keeps the window open. you might think its a slim chance, but i'll take slim over none every day of the week

Problem is by keeping him you only have him for 2 more years (if he's actually disgruntled).

Spurs won't trade him under any cir stances. However, they'll do a sign and trade during his free agency period so they can get a few token draft picks/bit pieces back in return if he does decide to leave.

I'd keep him and hope I could change his mind with some good trades like LA did with Kobe in 2007.

Spurs have zero flexibility going forward thanks to the offseason. The Spurs are going to be hardpressed just re-signing their own garbage role players to loyalty contracts so if he's truly discruntled over the roster construction, there isn't a damn thing they can do about it.

Ya like we should've traded Duncan after he got hurt in 2000. This board is a joke. A bunch of armchair GMs that know as much about bball as the guy working the register at Taco Cabana. Way to early to trade KL. Its not debatable.

The guy working the register at Taco Cabana wouldn't have handed out $98,000,000 to Fatty House and Gasoft. That I can assure you.

He also would've brought back the taco cabana colors for alternative jerseys that everyone's been crying about

Maybe, maybe not. But RC plays the long game. That much is clear. And yea they finally got a few ty contracts, but with Parkers unknown injury had to give someone some money to play guard. And there weren't many options at the time. Murray is clearly years away from being able to lead. Rage was a great pickup when we landed him. Turns out he was horrid but no one here knew that. Small markets have to operate different than LA or NY. Rare that a FA is just gonna come to SA. All theses guards we are developing are gonna be unloaded for assets at some point. We ain't ringing this year anyway. So we have to wait and see....Just wait when that salary cap goes up. Many head scratcher contracts incoming.
