I like the dumping of the salary...although with some of the salaries I've seen...Malik's is no where near as bad as some make it out to be.

I can't argue with the trade, because Nazr is good. But man,it still sucks.

Calm down Jim, ! We still got that Ducan dude!

Listen I have watched this Mohammed play and I am not impressed at all. Malik is twice the player and he was the heart and soul of the Spurs, he represented all that was good on the team, he always played 100%......this sucks.

Giving up someone that plays as hard as Rose just plain sucks.
Heart and hustle only go so far when you're a 6'5" power player in the WC, and Malik took that as far as he could.

Jim, no one thinks that Nazr is a star, but given the choice between a 6'5" role player PF and a 6'10" role player PF/C, give me the size, especially in the West.

    watcha think?

How long will it take him to pick up Spurs defensive rotations?

Could he be in the groove by the playoffs?

or will will Nazr spawn 100's of "bring back Malik" threads?

found this quote in another article though....

    link

    another one....

    link

Nazr averages .98 bpg to Rose's .18! I know that's not a total indicator of defense, but still it's something. The quote you got was just off a Nick fan site. Just saying that is an oxymoron!

So, Pop's Dog house is now vacant. I wonder who the next tenant will be. Maybe a vBookie poll is in order....

I dunno why...but I feel like somebody just died!
He's been on the team a while, it kinda sucks to see him go since he was a likeable spur, well i liked him anyway.

No matter how loud or how much Pop yelled, Malik could not grow taller. There have been plenty of games where if you weren't a Spurs fan you wouldn't be impressed with Malik either. , there are a lot of Spurs fans that weren't impressed with him. I will miss his hussle.

Seems like a good trade to me so far.

Pros: Big body with size who rebounds really well (#7 in offensive rbs)
    Over 50% fg%.

    Cons: Weak shotblocker.
Has been injury prone in the past.
    Average ft shooter.

Overall I think we come out ahead since Malik wasn't a shotblocker either and his fg% was worse. Nazi should help Tim with bangers down low and he isn't afraid to throw it down.

Personally, I think Pop should try Rasho off the bench now that we have another legit center. Rasho just seems to play better when he's the only option down low.

And another thing.....why with the best team with the best chemistry in the league at this point???

I hope we lose the championship now... the Spurs.
Please step to the ledge and jump and save all of us the time to put you on the ignore list.

Thanks Malik for the hustle...good luck in NY
