He's a choker
Boy's a Baller! No wonder we and other teams tried to trade for him. Then again, we gave up Speedy for him and it paid off down the line
Not for lack of trying, the Bulls just had better pieces to offer
Ok, he just forced OT
Me and my big mouth
Yeah, I hate seeing him in that Bulls uniform.
Whats worse is posters who have zero clue what they are talking about
Like TPark in the Gortat thread.
OK -- you can have kept Salmons, but give back the 2003 le that so many believe wouldn't have been possible without Speedy Claxton.
?
That Gortat is not good offensively?
That was acknowledged...
mother in wesley snipes in our team??? I am down
Another case of hindsight is 20/20. No one knew he would translate so well into the NBA. He would be almost a perfect fit right now though. Just what we need, a shooter who can also put the ball on the floor and get to the hoop...unlike another SG we picked up. Oh well, we can't get him now, so might as well think about other options.
I didn't think we ever had him to keep?
If I recall, it was like the Leandro Barbosa trade in that we traded for Claxton and gave Philly the pick, then we proceeded to pick who they asked us to pick and ship him to Philly. Because of some sort of rule we had to make the pick before the trade could be official but the deal was made before we made the pick so while Salmons was techinically a Spur briefly, he really wasn't.
You are not allowed to trade away your 1st round draft pick in consecutive years. And I guess they wanted to have that option/or trading chip the following year.
Leandro Barbosa was our 2003 selection that we traded to the Suns for a future protected first-round pick and John Salmons was a 2002 selection that we traded to Philly for Speedy.
Bandwagoners, all of you. I've been talking about getting Salmons since the beginning of March!!!!!
