The clutter is annoying, but in most cases I like having the actual case/book/etc. with each movie. I'm pretty much done buying TV shows on disc, though, other than the series I've already got. They're just easier to download and I'm not as picky with their quality as I am with movies.

If it's something I really like and popular, I'll wait to download the hi-def versions, but my TV isn't big enough to really complain about lower def too much.

The amount of space it all takes up is a bit ridiculous, though. Especially since about 98% of my books are in storage. One would think I was completely illiterate if glancing at my bookcase right now.

My brother's place was simply awash in CDs and DVDs. I'm always acting like my living situation is temporary, so taking one computer would be much easier than boxes and boxes of crap. I'm thinking of selling off most of it to give my sister some room and some cash. I cataloged them in a database at some point -- need to find that hard drive.

Yeah, I had plenty of VHS tapes that are no good anymore. Plus my VHS player has long been retired.

I watch movies once or twice. Don't buy DVDs. If you have something like netflix don't see how you could find enough time in a week to watch new rentals + movie theatre release + DVDs you bought.

That's one of the ones I have on VHS in storage. I've been slowly replacing them on DVD since I moved, but haven't gotten around to that one yet. It's a crap movie, but I love it.
