Just went to Flying Saucer 2 days in a row... I think I just had about all their stouts.. they need more of those..
There's only one SPEC's in this San Antonio area, and it's either in or by Selma....
Not worth the trip up there, might as well go to Central Market..

I know that they are made by St. Bernadus, it is weird though. I have been to places that have 4 different beers by St. B but they never have WT. However, are you telling me that Watou Tripel specifically is available in Austin in 4 packs?
The last time I noted seeing it (which may have been some time ago), it was only in 4 packs. The store it was at is closed, and I haven't looked closely enough at the belgian shelf at spec's aside from looking for sours, but I will be there tomorrow.
I would have no problem in purchasing a 4 pack. It would just suck to have to go to Austin. Maybe I can pressure the san antonio specs into purchasing some. I work in windcrest so it isn't that far from my job.
Don't know where you live, but I know for sure that the HEB on Olmos carries seasonal Sierra Nevada. I've checked in many cases personally.
Central Market and the one at Lincoln Heights should also carry it. Closer to where I live, the HEB on I10 and Wurzbach should carry it as well as the Alon Market in Wurzbach and NW Military.
Not much of a beer guy, but this one looks interesting.
Waiting for the kids to go to sleep so I can try it out. I don't like drinking in front of the kids or even when they're awake.
Just had this today at flying saucer...
Pretty decent beer.
If I like it, it's good to know that it's at the Flying Saucer. I live on Fred and Callaghan, about 3 minutes from I10. Can be at Huebner in 10 minutes. My ex wife lives on Woodstone so I could probably stop by for a drink there after having to visit to pick up my child support check.
If you like it you will probably enjoy all of the Porter/Stouts they serve there.. give them a try.
drinking this tonight, mofos
I have a 6 of the Guinness extra stout. It's pretty good with the right foods, which is normally anything you can find.
Can't go wrong with Guinness. I like mine at room temperature
especially the draught
I had plenty stout in Finland at room temp and it was good for a 12 dollar beer.
I've heard all alcohol is really expensive in Scandinavia + Finland. true?
ing A, this Old Guard is kicking my ass. May be a long night in the youtube threads
Old Guard?
Or do you mean Old Guardian?
Pretty strong Barley-wine ale ..
case in point.
I had a few glasses of wine and 3 kentucky ales to start the night. I'm on my second Old Guardian right now, with a double bas remaining in the fridge.
12%
lol DMC not responding to my question, probably because he's full of
wassup Brannon?
never had it but will check it out.
nevermind.... lol Anheuser Busch
hahahah
You should've started with double bas ... at this point I doubt you'll get to it...
if you do.. kudos.
It's def. one of the strongest beers I've ever had.
oh and it's not 12% .. it's 11.20% I believe.. there's a difference!
