Paul stressed that maulings are usually a result of pent-up energy, and not the breed itself.
Because pent up energy causes chihuahuas to kill people regularly, as we know they are locked indoors regularly.
Also worth noting that the owner was gonna get killed too until his brother leaving next door helped him out.
