IIRC, back in the thread, after the Fly episode, everybody thought it sucked and was a wasted episode.

Hahaha... it's funny because she's gonna be a future career barista with that degree!!
I'd argue that expanding on Walt's internal demons added a lot of variables to the show. Plot isn't everything.

It's not going to be my only degree.
But, hell, if it comes down to it, barista > jobless.
Perhaps... whatever your view, I don't think anyone can argue that the episode is inconsistent with the series. All of the episodes are well written, but I think the Fly episode was a mistake. Your job as a writer/director isn't to make your audience that's been following for 3 seasons at that point to say "WTF?"
It's perfectly consistent with the end of Crawl Space.
Eh... I don't see that from a writing point of view or a cinematic point of view... I guess they're both showing Walt losing his mind, but I would bet you're one of the very few to attempt linking those two episodes on any level.
And I'm going to be an asshole douche by asking this... but oh well. It's the internet. Do you think you're somehow smarter because you think you can see something in that episode that others can't?
It's just a waste of an hour. The only time Vince has slipped up in the entire series in my mind. I didn't think Walt was anymore haunted or fucked up by the end of the episode. I think what Vince wanted, but failed to translate of Walt from the fly episode, he achieved in the latter episodes of S4.
Fly was very important in the Walter/Jesse relationship tbh. Plus not every episode can be an action packed fuckfest or it turns into Lost.
No, I just thought it was a great episode - theatre of the absurd - or Coen Brothers lite. I was not a huge fan of the episode with the meth heads and the ATM machine myself, but it was along the same lines. Walt was done second guessing himself by the end of s4, so I dunno about your last point.
The last three episodes were pretty good.
I just saw this... hilarious!![]()
half the time Walt Jr.'s parents talk to him, they're telling him to eat breakfast.
Just saw the episode where the badass Mexican twins went down as well as Hank
Anyone know when season 4 will be on Netflix? This shit is good
Was Gus trying to sell Big Bird the Big Blue !![]()
Just finished season 3. That fly episode was so fucking stupid and def the worst episode in the show. The last 2 episodes of season 3 were badass though tbh..
Starting season 4 on some bootleg website because Netflix doesn't have it.
Very interesting to see how Walt and Jesse developed during the show and truly become "bad"
I keep hoping I see them filming when I'm bumping around Albuquerque
Look in bars and restaurants. That's where I always see the Treme folk.
Mother. fucking. finally.
Actually think I came across them filming pretty close to campus one day earlier this year. There was an old busted up car that looked like Jesse's old car.
Uhokay. Don't know what you're talking about.

"We're done... when I say we're done." F YA!!!!!!

Season 5 cast photos are out. For the first time, Walt's wearing the Heisenberg hat. Just sayin'.
I think the way AMC is doing this last season is pretty cheap and dumb.
This last season will be comprised of 16 episodes. They'll only show a partial one this year with only 8 episodes, then wait a whole year to show the last 8.
That's flat out cheating the oudience.
I'm simply not watching 8 pathetic episodes just to get cut off and be told to wait another year. I'll just catch the whole complete season when is all done.
I guess Mike didnt die, good I like character.
To me, even a "full" AMC season of 13 episodes of a show isn't enough, so this makes no difference at all. Mainline network shows usually had somewhere between 22 and 26 episodes when I was growing up.
It's all about the quality, not the quantity.
