I was thinking what American nations would automatically become WC contenders if Messi had their nationality.
The usual list of already contending nations comes to mind so I won't include them. But if I were to dwindle it down to nations that have good strikers but are in need of creative play the list would be:
1. Columbia (a Messi / James Rodriguez duo would be great football)
2. Mexico has a good enough defense (minus that 7-0 romp vs. Chile
3. Chile (Messi would put them over the top tbh)
The point being that Ronaldo added to those squads wouldn't have the same effect.
