His career had a very impressive arch 2 years ago as a 25 year old. But he's not winning the World Cup in Russia or Qatar. Barcelona has loaded up on offense while letting their defense to rott (takes away his scoring & winning) and he seems to have ran down his legs while chasing Muller's scoring record. Hasn't been the same player since.
He needs to leave Barcelona and lead another Club to a le (like PSG). Otherwise he'll be remembered as that Argentinian guy playing with Spains Golden Generation.

Messi is just a special player, he can literally score goals with ease. People question the compe ion he faces, and Its obvious that facing elche and scoring two goals is not the same like facing atletico and scoring goals, but people don't really see the big picture
How easily he scores them is what makes him unique. Can't wait when he faces real compe ion and scores the same, wonder what excuse people will use.

Pre-2013(summer) Messi is awesome. He's been against good compe ion since, though.
Messi last season had a subpar season by his standards in general not just against elite teams, in fact except for Atletico Madrid he did better against elite teams than in lesser games, tbh.
