If a team had an openly gay teammate and they were grown-ass men who could accept him as such, I'm guessing it'd be an asset. I'd probably ask him to play it up and get all dainty and friendly out on the court -- NBA players have been know to be a lot of things, comfortable with sexuality is generally not one of 'em.
