It’s legit. He’s only going to be in 6 episodes in season 9. Along with the chick that plays Maggie.
also, Norman Reedus just got a huge bump in pay. This show is finished.
Doesn't mean they are leaving the show. Pure speculation until I hear otherwise.

Season 9 was pretty great tbh, saved the series.
comic is done btw, Kirkman quality trolled everyone and ended it without telling anyone.
now lets hope the show also ends. The show has been for years now.

Ditto. It was an absolute phenom up to the prison and the governor arcs. Everyone started getting sick of it at the same time(asian falling into a sea of zombies and surviving) with the same bull narratives, the episodes/seasons did the same exact bull . The few people that still watch it religiously all say the same . "Oh, season # really turned things around!" The plummeting ratings and non stop ridicule of the show has determined that was a lie.
So great that the two main actors decided to leave and the creators had to throw a pile of money for Reedus to stay. This show has gotten so ilogical that they stopped bothering with storytelling and just pumping out episodes because they know they have a group of people that will watch the show no matter what.
The show changed head writers; the new writer has refocused the direction of the story, making it more logical, the characters better written and playing up the horror aspects that the past seasons avoided.

The actress playing Michonne is leaving to focus on her movie career after appearing in literally 3 of the top 10 biggest movies ever. Lincoln is still doing the 3 Walking Dead movies and said that he regrets leaving when he did because season 9 got even better when he left. Critical reception has also improved; its rotten tomatoes score for season 9 is the highest of the series- at 90% compared to season 7 and season 8 which was at 63 and 64%.
