Yeah the reviews are great and it will be perfect for my daughter to use at her desk as well. The hp key works just like the function key in macs as well from the comments

You are welcome. Also, I don't know if you can do this kind of stuff with the ipad, but I know I was able to remap some of the keys (like the hp specific ones) in android.
Incidentally, those keys work just like the Apple ones in iOS as well as MacOS. Maybe a tiny nod to those days when HP briefly made iPods
I think that all the keys do something in android too, but I found that (for example) the cards key didn't do anything as useful as I would have liked it to. I made it the "home" button, but if you are happy without mods, then awesome.
SkyDrive out for Android:

saw that, gonna play with it to see if it has anything that will make it supplant my dropbox.
I generally sign up for all of the free GB's, but I don't remember if I did SkyDrive
Got a Razor Maxx and am thoroughly pleased. It's especially awesome that I can use it all day without having to recharge, like pretty much everyone else with a high-end phone
what did you have before?
When I bought the HTC 1 S, I got free 23 gig for 2 years (Dropbox)
Droid Bionic. thing was a brick compared to my RM. A serious upgrade. Considered waiting for the HD but decided the specs weren't really worth the wait.
did you root it?
nah... I'm not as tech savvy as most in these threads so I didn't want to up the warranty agreement or harm the phone in some way. My RM wasn't too terribly bad as far as bloatware goes, so I haven't seen a need for clearing that stuff out.
you gonna root it now? I use my old htc evo 4g as a music player.
ohhhh, I gotcha. Hadn't really thought about it, tbh. Not a bad idea. It would be fun to mess around with, I suppose.
Also (don't know if you need something like this for any reason), but as long as you have a google voice account and wifi, you can use the GrooveIP app and do voip calling through your wifi on your old phone.
... No, don't need it because I have unlimited calls/texts, but that is cool nonetheless
I don't post in these threads much because you guys make me feel stupid (except lefty), but they've been very helpful with a few purchase decisions/app knowledge... So thanks
ah ok, well since I made my google voice number the same as my regular number, I figured that when I replace the ol' evo3d, I will probably make it a music player and a "home phone"
I dont know, as you said, it is a cool thing to be able to do (especially if you are somewhere with bad reception).

no wonder why i couldnt buy my nexus on my galaxy last night. verizon putting way too much restrictions on Nexus phones
eeeh
Ive never been big on NFC/google wallet anyway
I got the free 10 bucks from google from my backup phone (nexus s) and I really liked the whole wallet concept for vending machines. They have a few at school and that is pretty convenient since I never carry cash or change. I still can't see myself completely leaving my wallet at home.
Yeah it's pretty convenient for that, I have to admit
I rarely carry cash/change too, but not every business offers NFC payment methods, otherwise it would be a big yes for me
