I do not believe this film is about guilt OR innocence, 0. It's about the process we're guaranteed.
And Henry Fonda soiled that process.

Southpaw...very cliche, but a decent couple of hours of entertainment. Gyllenhaal really sells the pain, both physically and emotionally.

He really needed better writers for this film. It's pretty well directed by the script is incredibly average.

Forest Whitaker is a nice touch on this film and helps push it to the finish. He and Gyllenhaal really have good chemistry. They should do more stuff together.

Finally got around to seeing "Fury" with Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf.

Pretty good flick IMO. Got much respect to those tank crews and what they had to go through in WWII. They were outmatched and outgunned by the Germans...pretty much a suicide mission for them. Tiger >>>>>>>> Sherman

I've been on a Gyllenhaal movie binge after watching Nightcrawler. The guy is fantastic.

illating in a Lifetime movie channel kind of way. Not much payoff for a 2.5 hour viewing ordeal.

I watched a good one on TCM the other day en led "One Way Passage" from '32. Starred William Powell & Kay Francis as ill fated lovers. She's terminally ill with a bad ticker, he's a murderer on the loose from the San Quentin death house who is captured walking out of a Hong Kong bar where the two have just met. It has held up nicely after 80+ years. She's returning home at Christmas to die and runs back into Powell on board ship via a dedicated cop sworn to not come home without him. He tries to drown the cop just before departure, but, instead saves him from drowning and the cop gives him privilege of the ship without restraints. This enables Powell to pursue and fall in love with Francis. Frank McHugh plays a friend of Powell from his bunco days and he provides the comedy relief via many drunken scenes. It's a little much for my tastes, but, he serves his purpose. Francis is at prime & just gorgeous. Powell to is at prime & stunning.

There is a scene of the death house gallows and protocol thrown in about 2/3 thru and it's frightening in it's quick appearance out of no where. At the end Powell is faced with the choice of taking her back to ship, she's had a seizure, or, fleeing. He chooses the former, confesses to her on her sick bed his crime and the punishment that waits. In united defiance of their imminent deaths they agree to meet New Year's Eve in a popular San Francisco bar. It fades out to black===then to the bar and New Years Eve, confetti, party goers, celebration. McHugh, grim faced, stoic, now sober, stands straight, at the bar, alone.

    They're simply gone.

I saw the version they did with Whitaker and Brody. Thought it was alright.

If this one is anything like that one, then it's the same formula.

That one is called the experiment. Came out back in 2010.

Glad somebody likes Entourage…I thought it was a complete fail…Senseless cameos…Poor story line…Bad acting…You know it is going to be a horrible film if Piers Morgan is in it…

An interesting Horror Film I recently saw is Gallows…Basically H.S kids with a video camera & iPhones re enact a play that went horribly wrong 20 years ago…Per the IMBD the film costs one hundred thousand dollars to make & earned 20 million in box office revenue…

Slow West: 7/10 predictable disappointing ending, and it was a little unbelievable that he didn't know where she went to begin with, but otherwise a solid effort.

and Budapest Hotel again (8/10) is there any another writer/director these days that does story/style/setting like Wes?

    Did anyone see The Gift?

I thought it was a great film and it actually creeped the out of me. It was good seeing Jason Bateman play something else other than the straight man/comedic actor role.

I was glad to see him make it. He was funny as a smart ass kid in the TV show, It's Your Move. Then he pretty much disappeared. Like many other TV actors. Somehow he clawed his way back into the social consciousness and made good work in some bit parts and eventually landing Arrested Development. What's funny is in most of his parts, he's playing the same character he did on the TV show.

Did you see Bad Words by chance? Funny premise.
