Oh. Ok.
I believe the word you are looking for is "coincidental."
Been binge watching some flicks on my days off..
Went and saw "The Gift" last night, it was interesting with a cool twist 8/10
Memento was a unique thriller, and kept me interested all the way through, 8.5/10
Rewatched This is The End, stillfunny/10
Rewatched No Country For Old Men, 10/10
Cop Car 5/10
This movie started out pretty good then the last 20 minutes happened.
The Fault in Our Stars. Didn't know much about it but saw it was coming on and had good rating. Very good and enjoyed it.
Yeah it was a love story and most would see it as a chick flick but I did like it. 3.5/5.
They had on the Marx Bros. yesterday on TCM. I DVR'ed "Night at the "Opera." That damn thing. One part they had Harpo striking a match across a guy's hairy underarm. LOL.
I caught some of that too. Had me busting up.
The Book Thief
9/10
Tired old themes extraordinarily well done. This one completely passed me by when it came out.

Such a lovely film. My daughter and I cried our eyes out.
I caught "Felicia's Journey" yesterday,,,with Bob Hoskins and some girl who is just absolutely gorgeous. Looks to be shot entirely in the UK---it's a stunning visual. Concerns this young girl, her absent bf and her impending pregnancy. She meets up with Hoskins as she is searching, literally on foot for this boyfriend. Hoskins is not what he seems, at all.
Nothing to write home about, but, serviceable if one comes across it.
The Gift - 8/10
Solid rookie directing effort by Edgerton. Looking forward to his future films.
The Guest.
Awesome film on Netflix. Had a nice 80s throwback feel to it. 8/10
I ing hated that movie Most people seemed to like it, but it really was ridiculous. Maybe I was just expecting something different.
Haha, I can see where people were expecting something different, so I understand that sentiment. I just thought it was a fun low budget, cheesy thriller. Soundtrack was great (RIYL: Drive) and I enjoyed some of the nods to John Carpenter/Halloween. Same guys that wrote and directed You're Next, which I loved as well. Like I said, for me it was a great throwback to some 80s films.
Insurgent 3/5 my opinion of this series is weakening.
Enemy of the State: 8.5/10. Great performance from Will Smith and Gene Hackman
Singin' in the Rain was on TCM last night. As close to perfect as a musical can get. It's a shame it was made just before the proliferation of widescreen movie formats. Just the sequence with Cyd Charisse's legs and 25 foot scarf could have been even more memorable.
10/10
I tried but 20 minutes in couldn't take the low budget cable tv movie feel to it any more
Failure To Launch - 9/10
I had no idea what to expect, but that movie was funny as !
Caligula
Cheesy, comedic flick (for my tastes). Gore Vidal screenplay. Penthouse s. A maniacal Malcom McDowell plays the role of emperor Caligula-obsessed with ing his own sister. Actual live birth scene. Decent amount of porn/orgy scenes.
8.5/10
I can't remember right now.
Daredevil irectors Cut-Turned me off to superhero movies, on the plus side Jenifer Garner in leather... 2/5
Fargo-Watched the series before the movie. Really slow start, final 25 minutes made the movie good. 4/5
Unfriended-Very well done, IMO. 4/5
Poltergeist (remake)-started with some promise. The casting was pretty bad and it caught up with the movie in the end 2/5
Tomorrowland: 7/10. At its heart a Disney boilerplate preachy multiculture pals story with the multiculture stuff kind of tacked on, but great visual effects and extraordinary performances by the main young actresses. They carry the movie more than Clooney does, though Clooney's is the most compelling character whose story is the most thought-provoking. Easter eggs all over the place in historical and collector shop scenes; will have to see it at home to be able to pause and pick out all the details. Probably about 15 minutes too long but it's a nice 15 minutes to look at.
That's pretty generous imo
I agree it was long yet in a movie called "Tomorrowland" I would have been ok if there was a lot of extra future. Instead it's 15-30 minutes too long of today time and when they finally arrive, it's a dismal unimpressive place run by a jaded uninspired House MD.
Nothing original at all, two thumbs down
