Oz the Great and Powerful 7/10
its an ok watch but about 30 minutes too long.
Angel Heart with Micky Rourke and Robert De Niro. It had it all as far as I'm concerned, had a great cast, blues, voodoo, violence, sex, a small part for blues legend Brownie McGee. Even heard some vintage Dr. John. From Harlem to New Orleans, perfect!
Then an ending I never came close to see coming. Great flick...10!!!
I did not like Angel Heart, Av. I thought it fractured and garbled.

Here's an older one too that they show a lot of on the Western Channel "Firecreek." It's from '67 and has aged just splendidly. Fonda & James Stewart are the main players, but, the cast is just superb. James Best, Gary Lockwood and Morgan Woodward play Fonda's men, basically hired guns for the ranchers in that area. Stewart plays the sheriff in this broken down one horse town (Firecreek) where the men stop so that Fonda can heal from a gunshot wound. The danger these men possess is shown & hidden behind the writing. Inger Stevens plays the female role and she is fine here. It's a great film and should not be missed.
Olympus Has Fallen...predictable story and elements but decent mindless movie fun leading up to the summer. Butler pulls off the one-liners pretty well throughout the movie and the effects were well executed.
7/10
GI Joe retaliation
8/10 surprisingly
Unbreakable (Willis, S.L. Jackson)
9.5/10, underrated masterpiece
I thought you were trolling. This is a real movie..of sorts.
Fight 7.1/10
The Factory 5.6/10
Cusack saved this move from being an abomination.
Ooga Booga 3.5/10
The did I just watch tbh...
Good call, great film
MI5 watta fkn load of bull , not much action scenes
Just saw Looper - 5/10
Starts off really good, turns into wtf is this bout half way through. Almost didn't even finish watching it.
I basically agree. The whole subplot with the telepathic kid felt so ing out of place.
you must concentrate on the subplot to understand whats taking place and whose story is being talked...
the kid didnt make sense or shouldve been removed from the movie which made it less interesting
I watched a weird one last nite: "Take Shelter" from '11. It was alright, but, a bit confusing at the end. It deals with this guy who has nightmares about a natural disaster destroying his home and family. He takes steps to protect himself by building an underground shelter. At the very end his fears come to fruition, but, it's muddled. Anybody else see this thing?
olympus has fallen. Was a good movie. pretty slow for the first 15 minutes but then the action was non-stop. 3.5 out of 5 stars
unless you live over seas im 99% sure you are lying
The Place Beyond the Pines - 9/10
The movie was different from what the trailer showed but I still liked it. The last act lost my interest a bit, but still a solid watch. Another great performance by Bradley Cooper.
The you talking about? The kid was the main reason why old Bruce came back.
You could say that the kid's part was overplayed. They talked about this big bad they really went nowhere with that. That, to me is where the movie falters abit. Overall though, good movie.
Jurasic Park IMAX3D: 8.5 out of 10
Evil Dead: 7 out of 10
Both very entertaining.
Gangs of New York -2002
One of those movies that I've seen bits and pieces of, but never actually sat down to watch the entire thing. So I gave it a go, but couldn't make it all the way through. Impossibly long, and despite some good scenery-chewing by Daniel Day Lewis, pretty awful. The chief culprits were DiCaprio & Scorsese, imo. DiCaprio is limited at best and Scorsese has lost his good stuff.
3/10
A friend of mine who's in Japan send it to me. He got it on the black market. The quality is pretty bad and i don't really understand japanese but the fighting looks awesome.
